Wheels and lights took me at least a year to work out exactly how to do. I don't guarentee that after following the tutorial you're going to get immediately good

me i'm a total beginner to things like this , but through great effort taken in a tut like this i now have some chance of learning ...

but i have another question: how do you color the car without covering the lines up? lower the opacity and do a bunch of layers???
When you have your path that you want stroked, go to the paths window, right click on the work path and select stroke. Then select brush and DESELECT Simulate Pressure. Hope that sorts out the problem.
