...to get your entries in for the "Vector Your Christmas" Contest!!  Click the link to get all the info and rules and things you need to know to enter! Remember, we want to see how YOU celebrate Christmas in YOUR part of the world!! Do you live where there's tons of snow and have snowball fights, build snowmen and roast chestnuts on an open fire?  Or maybe you live in a part of the world where Christmas falls in the summer time, with backyard bar-b-ques or swims at the beach on Christmas Day?  Wherever you live, whatever your nationality, we want to see how you spend Christmas and what traditions you celebrate!

So hurry, hurry, time's getting away from us, and before you know it, Santa will be sliding down our chimneys, or rocking up on 'Six White Boomers', or maybe even riding a surf-board into your beach house, and the contest will close! Midnight on December 25th is the deadline, so be sure to get your entries in!

Mini-Rant...

Browsing through the Vector Galleries each evening in search of awesome Vector pieces to give a DD to, I come across SO many pieces that don't belong in the Vector Gallery! I'll see a great looking thumbnail and click on it to view the large piece, only to find that it's full of raster textures, photos, etc.! It's disappointing and frustrating!  Be sure to categorise your work correctly when you're submitting.  This not only benefits all of the Community Volunteers who go searching for pieces to give a DD for, but also benefits YOU! If your work is in the wrong category, you're not getting the exposure that you should be getting. People are missing out on YOUR work if you've put it in the wrong category.  If you use raster elements (photo textures, photos of a T-shirt displaying your work, Photoshop layer effects, etc.) with your Vector work, please remember that it belongs in Mixed Media, NOT in Vector!  As I've stated in Suggesting Vector DDs to Me, I won't feature Vector work that has raster elements in it, because it's no longer Vector, it's Mixed Media.  If you categorise your work into the Mixed Media gallery, chances are you might get a DD from the CV in charge of the Mixed Media gallery
