Hello everyone!!

First, I must apologise for being so quiet the past few weeks. I've had so much going on that it's been hard to keep my head above water!  Which leads me to the first announcement...

Project Educate - Vector Week has been postponed.  I was scheduled to start my PE Vector week on Sunday, but I've been unable to get everything together and organised...it really snuck up on me fast and I had no choice but to put it off, mostly because I want the week to be an awesome, informative and fun week, and I just wasn't prepared to give you that right now.  So, I've asked for the week of May 28th through June 3rd. I haven't heard back yet if this week is mine, but I will keep you posted.  I'm terribly sorry, I know at least a few of you were looking forward to this week, as I was, and I feel like I've let you down, but hopefully I can make up for it in May with a much better week than I could have pulled off right now.  I  hope you understand, and please forgive me for the delay.

Facebook:  I've begun to promote the Vector Daily Deviations on my Facebook account (www.facebook.com/domimadden if you'd like to add me).  I've also just started on Pinterest, and will be making a Vector Daily Deviation folder in there, and will start promoting the Vector DDs on there :D

Suggesting Vector Daily Deviations:  Many of you have been awesome about sending me some amazing DD suggestions, and I thank you SO much!!! Please don't stop! I need your suggestions. I do search the Vector galleries about every other night, as well as watch submissions through the Vector groups that I'm a member of, but I can't see everything, so I would love it if you come across something you think is amazing, if you would drop me a note with a link to the piece you love!  To see my requirements for selecting the Vector DDs, please see Suggesting Daily Deviations

Personal Stuff
Mental Health:  Last night I attended a forum on Mental Health, held by the Rotary Club of Narrabri and the Narrabri Men's Shed, both of which my husband is on the committee of. It was SUCH an interesting night! The keynote speaker was Fay Jackson, CEO of Vision in Mind. Her goal is to teach people about mental illness, to recognise signs of depression, to bridge gaps between the psychologically diverse ranges of people, but mostly to help dispel the stigma that has, for too long, been attached to people with a mental illness.  Fay herself has Bipolar Disorder, and isn't afraid to stand up and tell you that's what she has and how it has affected her life, and why she does the work she does today.  She is probably one of the best speakers I've ever had the pleasure of listening to...she had us laughing until we had tears in our eyes...and at other moments those were tears of sadness, for her and for the thousands of people who are too ashamed or too scared to speak up and seek the help they need so badly.  There are some YouTube videos of her speaking...I urge everyone to listen to her, just search for Fay Jackson

Physical Health In a few weeks I'll be having an exporatory surgical procedure done to hopefully give me some answers to some issues I've been dealing with for years now.  I will go in as a day patient, but depending on what they find, it may turn into at least an overnight stay.  It's nothing to worry about...I'm actually looking forward to finally getting somewhere with this, after being told for years that I'm "too difficult and belong on the 'too difficult' shelf" or being told that there's no reason I should feel the way I do and that it's all in my head.  Half the battle was finding a doctor who would actually listen to me...and believe me that's been quite a battle!  But I've finally found not only one, but two doctors who agree that there's definitely something not right and starting with this exploratory procedure, we'll find out what's going on.  So at best I'll go in the morning and be back home that night...and at worst, I may end up staying a few days in hospital.  Wish me luck! :fingerscrossed:

All-in-all, life is good :) We recently had some major flooding in our area and my husband and I were stranded at home for a couple of days since our road was completely under water and neither of our cars would have gotten through it.  Luckily our house is on high enough ground that we didn't get any water inside, but the rest of the property was pretty much a lake.  It felt weird being isolated, even for a couple of days, and especially when our power went out, and then our phone as well.  Thank goodness for mobile phones!  But all is well now, and even the surrounding areas that have been flooded all week are finally getting back to normal...whatever 'normal' is!

This last week we've also had 5 new calves born, each one cuter than the next   I do love the calves, they are so sweet, so curious and so playful...I could watch them for hours :aww:

Well that's about all from me for now.  Had a bit of catching up to do!!    I hope you are all doing well!  Tell me what you are all up to, what's been going on in your lives?  Are you planning anything for Valentine's Day, or do you hope something is being planned for you?  My husband and I are saving every penny right now so that we can make a trip back to the USA hopefully the end of this year or the beginning of next...so we decided not to do anything special this year for Valentine's Day, birthdays, etc, and instead put the money towards our trip :)

Lots of  and  to everyone :D
