Let The Sparks Fly

Ever since  I discovered the "Penryn and the End of Days" series, I re-read it every year; and after re-reading the first book,  I always come back to this beautiful artwork to admire it.

It's an absolutely gorgeous recreation of  "Angelfall's"  powerful and emotional finale. Also,  your depiction of Raffe is perfection! And it's  so  close to how my mind's eye pictures him. Did you have anyone in mind as a reference  when you were drawing his character or is this just a combination of your imagination and the book's description?  

Anyways, just had to take a moment to show your artwork the love it deserves. Like the book  series itself,  it has quickly  become one of my favorites.
