Hi, I’m Dominique Duong, a freelance illustrator and concept artist working in London, United Kingdom. I work in both traditional and digital media – sometimes combining the two approaches – and my skills cover a wide range of subjects, such as editorial and book illustration, concept art, story-boarding, game UI and comics. I enjoy working on both highly detailed pieces as well as looser, simpler ones.
I’m fascinated by the macabre, the surreal and the magical, and strive to capture that in my art. Mythology, fairy tales, nature, folklore, travelling and music are all huge influences for me, but at heart, it is storytelling that forms the core of my work. In my daily life, there’s always a narrative, story idea or character conversation running in the back of my mind, filling my mind with daydreams.
