Daisy Versus the Tempus Venatores, Part IV
"Hi Daisy," Garth greeted, a crooked smile touching his mouth. "I took care of that, by the way," he said, pointing at her toned abdomen. The front of her dress had a slit in it, but her skin showed no sign of injury.
"Garth," she said, still disoriented. "How did you...?"
"Nanomachines. The same way I fixed your hand."
Her eyes grew wide with realization. But she still had questions.
"What's with this net?"
"It's charged with a chronoparticle field. We're currently moving thousands of times faster than the rest of the universe."
She turned again and looked at everyone outside the net. "So," she remarked, "they all appear to be standing still."
"But, if you watched them long enough you might see movement. Although, the chronoparticles would likely run out before that."
Deja vu, she thought, and hoped briefly that this was a dream. Then she asked, "So what now?"
"Now," he said, pressing buttons on his silver box, "we e

Daisy Versus the Tempus Venatores, Part III
Penny immediately let out a war cry as she drew her newly-replaced Meiji era samurai sword and rushed the three creeps. Daisy covered her face with her hand as she awaited the inevitable result.
Kepler responded by touching something on the side of his left cybernetic eye.
Penny immediately stumbled, dropped her sword and grabbed her abdomen. Kepler laughed and said, "I was charging that laser just for you."
"I didn't see any laser," said Blayder Boy.
Daisy replied, "You wouldn't. I'll give you the physics lesson later." Then, she inquired, "You okay, Penny?"
Penny painstakingly got back on her feet. Kepler touched the side of his eye again but Penny reached for her sword, grabbed it, then held it in front of her, reflecting the beam back at him. His eye exploded in a shower of sparks. Meanwhile, Blayder Boy had drawn two throwing knives. He flung them at The Indian who stood smugly with his arms folded. Inches away

Daisy Versus the Tempus Venatores, Part II
Daisy did not know what to think. These were obviously quite formidable opponents. Even the filthy pedo had received an upgrade. But she wasn't about to let them intimidate her with their talk of her disappearance. So she stepped right toward them.
"Excuse me! Just who are you, anyway?"
All three turned to her. The pedo's stupid grin disappeared. The brown-skinned man maintained a steady poker face. But the tall, spindly ghoul in the cowboy hat grinned even wider, his jagged teeth parting, his sharp blue eyes widening in obvious joy.
"Daisy! Oh, just the girl we're here to see! How would you like to take a trip to the twenty-third century?"
"No thanks. And you didn't answer my question."
"My apologies. Where are my manners?" The ghoul took off his hat and bowed low before Daisy, then stood back up, flipping the hat and dropping it skillfully back on his head. "My name is Dron Whiskeyclone Kennedy, but you can call me

Daisy Versus the Tempus Venatores, Part I
Daisy was in her back yard, enjoying the first warm sunbeams of Spring. She and Penny were working in her flower garden. Since Daisy had put in a good word for her, Penny was allowed out of juvenile detention on work release as her personal assistant. Daisy loved working in the soil, and felt close to nature when she weeded, planted, watered, and fertilized. She even wore that goofy straw hat she found in the thrift store. She turned to Penny and grinned. Nonplussed, Penny let her head fall back, then groaned, "This is borrrrriiiiiiing!"
"Look missy, if you would rather do Rhonda's share of the chores, I'm sure she'd be happy to come out here and-"
Penny didn't wolf out, but her muscles tensed and she was ready for battle. Daisy had her Magic AK-47 that Never Runs Out of Ammo ready, though she already knew how little good it would do. Kneeling before them both was the massive form of a Temporal Enforcer.

Daisy Facilitates a Family Reunion
Daisy drove Penny out to the Federal prison to visit Mickey Ice. When the three of them were all sitting down at the table, Mickey continued to stare silently at Daisy.
"Mickey," Penny began.
Still glaring at Daisy, he interjected, "What is this game? You are trying to play me the stupid this time. You have already won. Why do you do this?"
Penny's mouth was still open, so she closed it again and started over. "Mickey, what are you-?"
"WHO ARE YOU?!" he snapped as he turned to Penny. "HOW DARE YOU DEFILE MY SISTER'S MEMORY LIKE THIS?!"
"I AM YOUR SISTER, YOU FUCKWAD! AND DON'T YOU YELL AT ME!" Then she started rattling off a rapid string of loud Russian that Daisy had no hope of understanding until Mickey stood up and grabbed Penny. How he had removed his shackles was anyone's guess.
A guard was already rushing to break it up, but Daisy held up her hand and shook her head. A second later Mickey let out a bellowing sob.

Daisy Raises the Stakes
Daisy had a bad feeling Friday night, when the TV station announced a weekend-long Buffy marathon. Quite honestly, she was tired of vampires. The few she had dealt with already irked her enough and that had been weeks ago. She changed the channel.
Interview With the Vampire was on. She liked Tom Cruise, but that wasn't enough this time.
Flip channels again.
Dracula, starring Gary Oldman.
Dracula, starring Christopher Lee.
Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi.
Disgusted, Daisy turned off the TV... or tried to. Bela cheesily raised his cape, gleefully bearing his fangs, then said, "Daaaisy! I vaahnt to suuuck you blooood!"
"Really?" Daisy deadpanned. "Is fucking with my TV the best you can do?" Immediately, she regretted issuing that challenge.
The windows all exploded inward as a small platoon of smelly, dirty, fanged undead invaded. These were obviously low-level mook vampires, as they did not even exhibit the spee

Daisy Makes a New Friend
Daisy was walking through the woods near the end of winter one day when she heard a pitiful dog-like whine off to her right. She readied herself for a surprise attack and went to investigate. She saw a young werewolf, still in wolf form, caught in a metal trap.
Closer inspection revealed the trap to be silver, which could be the only reason the werewolf was caught in it. Its leg was bleeding where the trap held it and the creature seemed half starved.
Daisy reached out to the werewolf to let it sniff her hand, ready to yank it away if attacked.
At first, it shied away as if scared of Daisy, but then sniffed the proffered hand. Then the wolf tried to sniff the contents of Daisy's coat pocket. Daisy reached into her pocket and pulled out her turkey sandwich, unwrapped it, and handed it to the werewolf.
It took the sandwich in its mouth, then sat down and ate it using its hands, much like a normal human would. When it sat down, Daisy rea

Daisy and the Mysterious Shadow
Daisy was at school eating lunch when she looked out the window and saw a shapeless blob of shadow staring back at her. She blinked and it was no longer shapeless. Now it had the form of a teenage girl. Then she realized the shadow person looked like her!
Except for the black hair, pale white skin, and black dress, it was like looking in a mirror.
Daisy stood up and began walking to the window. "You gonna eat that?" inquired Patrick McStilson, as he pointed at her unfinished lunch.
"Knock yourself out," she replied absently. She kept her eyes on the shadow double and slowly made her way to the door. She opened it and already knew the shadow girl would be gone when she rounded the corner. To her surprise, she was still there.
"Who are you?" Daisy inquired, wary of a possible trap.
"Walk with me, Daisy. We have plenty of time." The shadow girl motioned to the door. Inside the cafeteria, everyone stood stock still. Patrick was froz

Daisy Versus Mickey Ice, Part II
Daisy was dead. She just knew it. Her eyes were shut tight as she contemplated what it meant to have her life end. It felt an awful lot like still being alive, though. She still felt like she was kneeling on concrete. Could he have possibly missed? Was she still alive? She opened one eye, ready to gaze into the barrel of that revolver...
...and the man's hand held nothing.
He screamed in surprise as he realized he had just been forcibly disarmed. He gripped his hand, now feeling the burn of having his Magic .357 that Never Runs out of Ammo shot from it. A woman's voice called out from the same distance as the last gunshot.
"If you so much as breathe wrong, Mickey, the next one goes through your head!"
Daisy turned to the source of the voice. A tall, muscular black woman stood atop a nearby roof. She wore camouflage fatigues and an Outback-style hat, the left side of the brim pinned up. She currently had Mickey in the sight of
