So I found this really interesting acoustic version of Metal Gear Revengeance's "Rules of Nature" and when I listened to it I thought of this image.
Here it is: youtu.be/XqG9DC6ajFg?t=64
I don't know I suppose it encapsulates tropical, propdriven, isolated and low intensity combat.

My, this is an interesting sight. Do not think I have seen a seaplane with ordnance under the wings before, but seeing it rendered as this it does not seem so strange - think I need to brush up on my history.

Well done.

Really cool - feels like an amalgamation of the worlds of 'Porco Rosso' and 'Royal Space Force'. The wing design is especially neat, and I like how there various winglets seems to have elimminated the need for a vertical stabiliser. Beyond technical details, this is also a really nice picture in a purely artistic sense - the contrast of the red plane with azure skies and seas, and the juxtaposition of this beauty with the death and destruction associated with war. To draw another comparison with the works of Miyazaki, thus reminiscent of 'The Wind Rises'.

Yes the V design of the tail is pretty rare 5i was inpsired by the french fighter Fouga CM-170 Magister).
You can see it in a better way here : www.artstation.com/artwork/mXO…

Interesting, and thanks for the reply! :)

I'd never heard of the CM-170. but comparing it to the picture, your design more reminds me of the Heinkel He162, what with the dorsally-mounted single engine in a 'pusher' configuration. For all the crimes of the Nazi state, I do believe that their two jet fighters, the He162 and Me262, still rank among some of the most beautiful jet aircraft ever designed.

What's your thoughts?

The idea was to get a very 60's feeling in the design and avoid fancy  high-tech rubbish you can see nowadays when it comes to imagine a plane.
I also wanted a small, maneuvrable, easy to fly and fix seaplane (it is supposed to be operated by mercenaries in very harsh conditons and without big logistics).
I therefore made a mix of Fuga Magister (for the tail) and A4 Skyhawk (for the nose and the cockpit, mostly) . The rest was a bit improvize, I'm afraid :)

But you're right, this little guy looks a bit like a He162 (although it was not my intention at all. The idea of putting the engine on the top came after a few unsucessfull tries).
And I also must admit I am a big fan of the A4, I just love this little jet Heart
