Christmas in May by docwinter Christmas in May by docwinter
This is another one of those pieces that I originally uploaded that mysteriously disappeared and I don't know why.

I have retooled it and have worked on it some more.

Hope you like it, and please feel free to give feedback. I will be coming back and updating these regularly

EDIT: I took the advice from the critique posted by Queen-iee-oh and updated the portrait once again.

Very good job! She looks very pretty and realistic. You have lots of detail and shading that looks great in this piece.

Some corrections that can be made are dealing with shaping a little better.
The fuzz ball at the end of her hat could use some cleaning up, it has a spike ball appearance, I recommend a softer texture when drawing it, some goes for the fur around the hat.

With the mouth its best to ease up on the wrinkles on the lips, it gives and older/ chapped look. I recommend shading rather then lines.

The necklace has some overlapping lines, cleaning and erasing those would have a cleaner look.

You did really well and should totally be proud! Great job
