A quote that people seemed to like, so naturally I evolved it into a piece of art.

So, by the time you get to the third step you realize computers suck and go outside?
doctormo's avatar
If only the outside wasn't run by computers... in these modern times it's just nice to know that the computers aren't our masters and we can still reprogram them if they misbehave.

Indeed, the way technology invades our lives gives me eerie feelings, but it's not ghosts that we should fear, it's humans. And what's with these folk seemingly out of an Orwellian plot? Technology was meant to grant humans power, and power it grants! The power to appease ourselves with ever fancier toys and prolefeed while bowing down to idolized corporations.

It's really scary how much technology has taken hold of our lives, but it's even more scary how little people understand it.

Of even understand the men behind it.

Another nice quote:

"In a world without walls, who needs Gates and Windows?"
doctormo's avatar
It's flippant, but it doesn't explain much about the alternative to Windows. It just as much supports Apple, Oracle and other proprietary companies as it might support any free and open source development and what do you think the general public knows more about, Apple or Open Source?

When you buy free and opensource software,

Umm, lol ... shouldn't that be "use" instead?
doctormo's avatar
I understand most people are confused by the concept of buying open source, but then that's something we have to fix.

You buy open source when you hire someone or some people to make for you, software which when finished will be released as free and open source software.

Intel buy into open source, they have a hundred or more programmers making open source code all the time. I buy into open source because I make open source code all the time. And still technically advocates of Free Desktops like Ubuntu buy into open source by spending time tying to grow the market.

This isn't about using, it's about investing.

Hahaha... Nice Nick...

But "Chrome OS"'s solitaire is way better... (Which is the same, all browsers! XD ).

That leaves Windows with... ... ... Bebug Testing :S

what happens when you duelboot windows and ubuntu then buy an ipod?
ArkBlitz's avatar
You live in the multiverse!

Here you go: [link]

To be fair, the ipod is anomalous since we've hacked libgpod to make ipods compatible. We never said that we wouldn't try and bring these worlds into the real world, that's some of the hardest work going on in FOSS today. :-)

That explains why my live is this way!! :XD:
