Greetings, followers. ‘Doc’ Vaughn here, creator of AUTUMN MOON and ROUGH STUFF comics, as well as other zines, comic books, novels, and art via my self-published Brain-Child Entertainment. I am in the process of designing a Campaign for ROUGH STUFF issue #3, but unfortunately Kickstarter has not yet approved the final page. I had already made significant changes to the images shown to advertise and entice backers (basically censoring almost EVERYTHING with black boxes) but they have asked for changes before going forward AGAIN.

We are at a crossroads; I ask both interested backers and other KS Creatives to read my letter above with the understanding that A) this is after 3 rounds of changes thus far where I have been fully cooperative regardless of my feelings on censorship, be it in America or abroad… and B) that you all understand that I do this knowing full well that it might get my campaign denied or even get me removed from the platform entirely. I believe that censorship is wrong, that art and creative expression is an inalienable right, and that hypocritical politicians, corporations, and banking institutions have become entirely too controlling and that these changes must be fought.

I also ask that – if you’re interested in ROUGH STUFF #3, AUTUMN MOON #4 and other campaigns and products I plan to bring to the public on a Crowdfunding Platform, that you join my email list at Brain-Child and/or otherwise follow my websites listed above. With luck (and perhaps arguments such as the one I am presenting) I will be announcing the launch of said campaign here soon, but at the moment I do not have faith in the bodies behind the decisions of Kickstarter.
