Warbirds of Mars - Jack's airfield by DocRedfield Warbirds of Mars - Jack's airfield by DocRedfield

Jack Paris and some of the Martian Killers land at a Jersey airbase he used to fly out of after successfully driving off a group of Alien Saucers attempting to get at New York. He thinks of Josie Taylor, fellow MK agent and his on-again, off-again lover. Behind him stands a modified B-17, the new MK Tank/Walker and an XP-51 Mustang, augmented with 'Martian' Tech. Some of the Allied planes do a victory fly-over.

Mechs, B-17s, P-51s, and sexy dames in lingerie. What more can a guy ask for?! The detail on that wing propeller engine is amazing! =)

Wow this looks amazing! I love the whole retro 1940s imagery. I loved sky captain so this definitely has my interest.

Ah man I envy you for going to those shows man, they sound awesome! They did an airshow here with some of the old aircraft but all the years after they concentrated on more modern aircraft and such. I'd love to go to a themed dance, I think I might have been born at the wrong time there is none of that where I'm from lol.

Ah man cheers for the heads up, I keep meaning to check the full comics out. 1940s merged with 1950s SciFi sounds incredible!! 😁

Thanks! I appreciate anyone who enjoys the time I put into making my alternate WWII/1940s look good.

Thanks :) I love everything about the WWII/1940s, the style, the fashion - even the sound of the planes :) I remember when I was a kid I used to wander off in  the shops to  read all the small WWII comics on the bottom shelves, everything just fascinated me about that era. Everyone my age was into trains and football, me - I was into 1940s dog fights, soldiers and battles in the pacific :)

Cool... yeah, I used to go to the Oshkosh/EAA airshow as a kid, and I was drawn to the WWII craft immediately. I still go to airshows and 1940s-themed dances and so on - it all informs the webcomic. Hope you enjoy the site; we've even done a few 40s-style 'radio show' versions of WARBIRDS OF MARS on there (just click the radio)

Very nice. I like how it looks like a conventional Wartime image, and then you see the robot legs... Nice work on the aviational details, by the way, the rivets and so on.

Thanks much! I definitely wanted to evoke the period as much as the SF/Dieselpunk ideal of the WARBIRDS setting.
