Heya! This looks outstanding!
May I ask how you make those trails for the asteroids? Do you know a tutorial for that?

Thanks for the comment :) Well I didn't make them from a tutorial. As I can remember, I first draw circle shape with some blue dots and them stretch them with Blur > Radial blur. After that I multiply that layer and add some additional touches like Brightness and Contrast, Ctrl+U, Ctrl+B, and if its required, a little play with Blending options.

First of all thanks for stopping by and leaving this kind comment :)

Well I don't know whats the criteria of "a lot" of different techniques. I always use everything I know in photoshop in order to represent as much as possible the image in my mind. Most of the times I can't really do it, so I would say that my techniques are actually not enough :D

No problem at all! Well, i was mainly thinking about photoshop techniques, it actually looks like as if it's rendered or something, (i mean that as a compliment BTW) because of the precision and detail.

Heh you know how to make compliments :D Well I consider myself for a man of the detail :D No matter if I draw on a computer or with pencil/oils I can spend as many hours/days as the drawing requires. As any artist knows, this is our nirvana -_-

Creating planet rings in such an extreme perspective is risky, and you've certainly pulled it off here

Hah I don't think you can bore me by flattering me :D About the tutorials its something like that...look more deeply in deviantart to find many space arts much cooler then mine.Stare at them and try to realize how did they achieve such an effects in their pieces. As you use more effects in your image the more effective it'll be :D

Hey man thank you so much for your support.I'm so glad that you like this piece. However my skills are not beyond the space art tutorials that you can find in www :) The rest is a personal way of using the photoshop i guess ;) I'm too lame to make tutorial, also because I work like a pig (very messy) :D Thanks again for your kind post :)

Well then, it looks like I'm too lazy (or stupid, or both :D) to find the real interesting and challenging tutorials ;) But once again, this artwork is just stunning me so much, I wouldn't even notice a dozen nuclear missiles blowing off right next to me while looking at it! And I think I have to stop myself now, before I'm gonna bore you to hell :D

OH MY!

The sense of scale you get from this picture is amazing...

This piece is truly inspiring... like GREATLY inspiring. The most inspiring piece for me, I have EVER seen...

So I think its time to dust off the old tablet and get back to work ha ha.

Great job on the picture, the colours are exquisite, the sense of scale is enormous, and that nebula off on the right looks huge, like there are millions of other beautiful scenes in there just waiting to be painted...

Great job man.

ha ha, I know where you stand. I didn't have one until the beginning of summer.

And even so, I only use a bamboo. They are cheap, but they work great. Definitely not something a professional would want to use, but if your low on cash and like me, don't want to get one until school is over and done with, a bamboo is perfect.

If you ever have the pleasure to try a tablet you will know what I mean. I didn't want to get one at all until I finished all my school. But I had the pleasure to use the bamboo in my communication technology class... and I just.. NEEDED one.

Anyway, good luck with your future art, and I hope you can get one, you would not believe the improvements it can make in speed and accuracy (once you figure the damn things out ha ha)

They are great. I don't know how much money your willing to spend though. I mean, I am still in high school and don't have much money so I just got the bamboo fun for $100 (as bamboo fun is wide screen dimensions and the original bamboo is just a square but its cheaper to get an ordinary bamboo)

Then the intuos get up in the $250-$300 range for the small ones and $900ish for the huge ones.

It depends what you want, I just wanted one to tide me over until I get the intuos (1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, so its more accurate, bamboos only have 512, it just means you have to zoom in and lower the brush size for detail work)

It looks very good, but I don't like nebula itself, it looks like it's out of that picture :/
I mean, I'm not good at nebulas either, but I'd see another style in this work...
Cheers

And one advice, make a works to please you with the outcome and then the crowd :)
Try to do it when you're relaxed and/or full of ideas, when your thoughts are floating around ^^
At last that's the way I do it :)
It's an art, you're the god here :)
