The series ran for 20 issues, and I had a blast working on it.

I've wanted to check out the COH comic for a while now, and I decided to do what I always do. Get on my favorite online comic store (Mile High Comics from Denver, CO) and pick an issue at random based on how cool the cover was.

This was the issue I ordered. The cover is phenomenal. Awesome. I really dig it. Haven't actually READ the book itself yet, but the cover drops my jaw.

Aw, thanks! Actually, you picked the single best issue of the run, imho. Good choice. :) Issue 16's a well-written stand alone tale, and the only one where I felt pencils, inks, colors, and cover were working together to form a perfect package. The other issues had an issue or two--like sub-par color or inks, or different artists on the interior vs. cover art.

If you decide to read more, might I suggest issue 10? That one's a pretty close second in my book. And I'd avoid 1-3 honestly. Great story by Mark Waid, but truly AWFUL inks and colors on those. Maybe I'm just bitter b/c I put so much effort into the pencils. ;)

I bought a graphic novel just today that has issues 1-6 in it. Haven't read it yet...but I'm hoping it's as good as my OTHER Top Cow favorite, The Darkness.

I LOVED original Ennis/Silvestri stories and the Jenkins/Keown run on the Darkness (in the Resurrection tpb). Haven't read the newest volume though.

Ever since this came out, I was wondering something. Did you make sure not to obscure Sister Psyche's and mother mayhem's chests on purpose? :)
