Hi everyone,

In short,

A very dear friend of mine, kalmanen, needs your help!

She has the awesomest dog out there called Yeti. Age 7, almost 8.

20170306 135716 by kalmanen

He got pneumonia. Since their regular and affordable vet wasn't "at home," they had to go to another vet client to get him checked out. In the end, she ended up with , as she described, "astronomical" bill which she can't pay on her own. She's asking us all to help by donating or just simply share the message so that more people out there sees it. She would be soooo grateful! She's even doing auctions too if you're into it. Check it out!

The last update from her said Yeti was doing well and finally was able to lay on his side so the treatments he had seems to be helping.

Here's her journal for more information and details:

<da:thumb id="669487288"/>

Please help her out if you're able, if you can't, please spread the words around. It'll help as much! Thank you very much and much love for everyone!

Hi everyone. small heart - purple

I just wanted to thank you all for the favorites, watches, and llamas because I no longer am able to thank everyone individually due to DeviantArt's anti-spam system. Yup, I've triggered it few times so I figured I better stop here.

Please do not think of me any less because of that. I still really appreciate it a lot from y'all. :doublehug: revamp Thank you sooo much!!! And of course, you don't have to thank me for the llama. I like giving them out. small heart - rainbow  Don't worry about it.

Anyway, again, here's my heartfelt gratification for all you do and keep it up! small heart - green

Edit: I have changed my mind. I'll still do it whenever I can. :) I just have triggered the anti-spam system today, but okay, I'll take it as a sign to take a break and resume later on. Haha. ;) And here's free llamas for everyone, yes seriously, if I haven't given you one and you do something to get my attention, I will do it! Woohoo! Isn't this exciting? ;) Nah, I just enjoy giving them out and seeing you on my feed certainly help because I don't have to search you out. I'm sure you know what I mean. Heh.

Have a great day!

Commission me!

Hi everyone,

I hope you're doing well. I am actually doing much better. That darn art block is going away and I'm resuming my art routine.

Now it's going to be a little personal, but I feel you guys deserve to understand why I was absent for a while.

Before we get to that, I have great news!

I fixed my energy issue! What happened was, for years, I have been very tired and lacked energy only to have it worsening this year. It got to the point that I had to juggle my energy for little tasks and be worn out for the rest of day. Yup, it was that bad. I got discouraged and was down because of it. I suspected it was my thyroid being underactive. I even went to the doctor to take a test, but with me being impatient. I ended up experimenting with iodine supplement. Oh boy, I'm glad I did. It has literally given my life back. I got really stable energy, whether if I had a hard day or not. It really makes a HUGE difference. I was skeptic of how effective it was that I gave it a month run. Guess what? It kept on going better. I feel like I can finally live my life and not have to worry about juggling my energy like I used to. My concentration for art has improved drastically. The difference is unbelievable. I am only mad that I didn't figure it out earlier. All that darn lifetime struggle for nothing. :S *sigh*

I also have few things I regret as a professional artist due to the lack of energy and I'm going to try and fix it. I am only sorry that you didn't get to hear from me sooner. I know it's not an acceptable excuse, but what is done is done. I'm going to get touch with you guys ASAP and see where we are at and perhaps see if we can get that sorted out.

Anyway, you're going to see a lot more art from me!!! And they're going to be more polished. I'm actually in the mood to finish my artworks rather than leaving it sketchy-style. :)

Thank you for your understanding! Have a great day everyone!

P.S. I'm going to be open for commissions soon. Contact me and we'll see what we can do. I still have to finish up one wip commission from few months ago.

Art Block

Journal Entry: Thu May 14, 2015, 1:25 PM

Commission me!

Hi all,

I hope everyone are doing well. Me, well, let's say last 6 months were crazy, crazy enough for me to have the worst art block ever. I'm struggling and have a hate relationship with my art at the moment. It is so bad that I have thought of quitting. It's only because that it is the fact my pure passion and my lifeline, I held on. I could not bear the thought of letting it go completely. I try to resume my art again, I'm reminded that this huge block is not over yet. It has been so long it's getting a little worrisome. I worry that I lose my ability. I worry that I am rusty and will get even more rusty. The worst thing is, I worry that I will have to start from scratch again. The stupid thing is, the more I worry, the longer that darn block will stay! Please tell me I'm not alone in this!

I know I'm being emo here, I sincerely apologize. I'm just a human and I try to respect that with love. At least you know I'm still alive.

On a bright side, I'm learning more about myself that way and definitely will use this opportunity to further improve myself.

Now, let's focus on one thing, how do I overcome this darn block? Any tips are very welcome!

Happy August!

Merry Christmas!

Journal Entry: Tue Dec 25, 2012, 4:13 PM
Hi everybody!

I hope you all are having a great Christmas so far! I've been so busy lately, but I have some artworks coming up soon to show to you all.

And for commissions, I'll get back to you soon with the result.

The new journal entry was necessary ,)

Journal Entry: Fri Aug 17, 2012, 12:59 AM
Hi all,

I have noticed that my last journal echoed negative. It's all good here by the way with my monitor. There's a red pixel there, but everything else look great so therefore I did not want to dare a risk in getting a worse replacement. I will keep it for a bit and see if I still want it replaced before my warranty is over.

My current art journey status:
I have been currently focusing on rendering my artworks well while getting my own style. I know the fact I still have a long way to go before I get there, but I am very positive on where I am at the moment, which by the way is rare of me as an artist. Lol! I am sure you all, as the artists, know that feeling.
On top of that, anatomy is another thing I am concentrating on by doing some exercises such as gesture drawing, reference studies, and still life. So expect me to give few next pieces a character try. I don't know about you guys and gals, but I miss doing environments and will get back into them ASAP! ;)

Commissions, yes, I accept that. In fact I'm looking. ;) Please check out my price chart on your left to get some idea of my price range and what to expect. As you maybe tell by my gallery, my main strength is with the moody atmospheric feeling.

Thanks, have a great day!

P.S. If anyone of you is in need of being featured, just poke me and I can post it up here! :D

Rant Rant Rant - Asus ArtPro PA246Q suck!

Journal Entry: Tue May 8, 2012, 2:48 AM
Edited: This monitor mysteriously came back alive for one day, but died for good over the weekend. Being fed up with Asus, I ordered a cheap 150 euros BenQ monitor to act as my back up monitor and eventually a dual monitor so I can JUST CONTINUE TO PAINT/WORK! Asus has yet replied to my latest request we typed on last Friday (new monitor or a full refund). I'll give them few days before I take even meaner actions. Definitely not happy! (I'm currently on my old laptop in case you're wondering and nope, it's not usable for painting, Yes, I've tried. :()

Asus ArtPro PA246Q monitor (…) sucks! I have bought one in Nov 2011. Impressed with color accuracy and smooth gamma curve. However like a month ago, it started having 1 weird shadow line coming from left top section which annoyed the heck out of me. It's supposed to be a professional monitor aimed for art/photography/graphic work so that wasn't acceptable. Add that with 2 (I thought 3 though) dead subpixels, non-working card reader (it worked at first), and it flickers now and then. Enough is enough.

3 weeks ago, I asked for a replacement. Lucky they were prompt in shipping other one for free. Traded it in. Turned new one on. At first all looked fine except for the card reader. About one hour in, it started having serious red flicker that fills up almost entire half right screen until it just is permanently red until I power it off for a time being. It'll go away only to come back within minutes. I was tremendously frustrated. I learned how to continue painting on the first good 1/2 screen while asking for OTHER replacement with an emphasis on getting a NEW one not a repaired monitor. They requested us to scan our document. However, after we did that, they sent other one...

I got it last week. At first it seemed ok. Card reader worked ok. At night, I noticed there were 3 bright dead pixels, green, blue, and grey pixels. :/ I couldn't be bothered. However, today when I woke up to turn my pc on, my monitor wouldn't turn on at all. It would not power up at all. I tried unplugging, etc... just to see if it is due to outlet glitch or whatever, but nope. It is the monitor. Now I have all commission files and all on my pc system without any monitor so I'm stuck. :( Í will ask my husband if I can borrow his monitor temp. just to extract my files so I could continue on my husband's pc which I am on right now.

At this rate, I bet I'll have endless replacements with something defected. :(

So, few things I wanna say:

1) Avoid Asus at all cost! Stick with their motherboards, nothing more.
2) Does Asus realize that their reputation is getting ruined that way?
3) Does Asus realize that there are working artists out there that need a really reliable monitor to work with; otherwise, they lose money?

What a waste of good investment (yes this monitor is the most expensive monitor I have ever owned and this is the worst so far)! :(

Be Featured - no more donation

Journal Entry: Thu Mar 15, 2012, 5:04 PM

Hi all, as you might recall, I had a special request going on. I've set up a donating pool above my journal for a wonderful group, :iconda-speedpaint: DA-Speedpaint and stated how much points it needed. However, nobody has donated and the renewing day has passed. So I have removed it. To whom has read my previous and this journal entry, thank you anyways.

My tip is still probably the best tip I can give at the moment so take it in mind:

If you want to get better. Do a speedpaint everyday. You'll improve, no matter what. That's how I get this far. ;)

Want to be featured? Read on.
P.S. It's still not too late!

1. For each of the 19 first people answering this journal, I will put their avatar and the three deviations I like most from their gallery on the list!

2. If you answer, you have to do the same in your journal, putting the tagger on the first place. The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone!

1.  :iconluneder: War March by Luneder Undead Knight by Luneder Thrall Son of Durotan by Luneder I like the colors you used in there. The style you used is likable.

2.  :iconchaosfay: Powered By My Rage by ChaosFay You know how to express your feeling beautifully! I'd love to see more of that from everybody! ^^;

3.  :iconcnids: corona cornea by Cnids Psychic Botanist by Cnids Twelve. by Cnids Your gallery is always lovely to look at. I have had a hard time choosing (I'd feature 4 if I would lol!) so I decided to choose those 3 that speaks the most about your style, your original ideas and character designs. Ultimately, you challenge the idea in the link of technology and organics doing those spirituality to daily routines. I love that!

4. :iconblackburnart: :thumb205337176: :thumb273607639: :thumb272834894: I chose these 3 mainly for realism, atmospheric mood, and colorful feelings. Awesome way to express! Your values are improving  and your style is getting more and more solid. Keep up with those studies, and in no time, you will rock the universe with your skill! :D

5. :iconheather-w: Music Meditation 10 by Heather-W Music Meditation no. 9 by Heather-W Music Meditation no. 1 by Heather-W Those 3 I chose touch me the most. They speak of emotions and full meanings, packed in the colors and the brushwork, a lot of psychological attributes. "Music Meditation Series" are definitely interesting. Simple abstract styles like this can actually envelop one's soul with full of wonder, something that sometimes even a classical master artwork can't even touch. ;)

6. :iconcitrinenightmare90: Spring by CitrineNightmare90 Tree of Life by CitrineNightmare90 :thumb176996545: Chosen mainly for their colors and originality. The tree of life is probably my favorite and something I would wear (I'm not really a type who wear jewelries). Lastly, I love rainbow and cannot resist featuring your pride parade piece!

7. :icondanielsherv: :thumb260562600: :thumb260360105: :thumb291757709: These two portraits are my favorites, the strokes you have made seem to fit their character the best. Lastly, the speedpainting of Horse Cloud is an interesting one. I like your color scheme and yes, I see the horse. And don't worry, I'm bad at horse-painting too. ;)

8. :iconmarshybarks: A Good Start - Buddha by marshybarks I've Cried All The Tears In Me by marshybarks Her Slumber by marshybarks Chosen for the touch of emotion/feeling and the meaning. First one, well, obviously I'm a big fan of life and spiritual philosophy, which buddha has an intriguing approach to .  2nd one shares the pain very well, showing that our crying is an effective outlet. Lastly, well, I like the design and the pattern you've added. :) And the colouring is nice.

9. :icontakenflyght: Reaching Out Before I Fade by TakenFlyght Loved the colors in your pic and the composition is great. First try with traditional medium is fun I recall, I hope you had fun there. I also have a great fondness for scratchy, sketchy paintings. They are beautiful. And copic piece, you did it very well. Nice textures.

1. You must post the rules.
2. Each person must post five things about themselves in their journal.

1. I'm not single.
2. I like to sleep and dream :D Or daydream!
3. I like to push my brain and consciousness beyond its limit!
4. Psychology, philosophy, neurology, and biology - welcome! :D
5. And I'm an artist (doh!)

I'm getting my new custom pc build!

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 28, 2011, 3:22 AM

Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sale of MAGICPICKER AND MIXCOLORS for PHOTOSHOP
Before I begin, usually I don't do that at all, but I assure you this is worth your time especially if you're an artist obsessed with colors like I am.
I thought I'd give a head up, there's a sale going on via -

I got upgraded magicpicker (I have been using it for a while) and mixcolors. It looks awesome and definitely worth mentioning here! :3

New PC build

Hi all- I thought I'd let you know that since my laptop is not meeting my demands for art-  today I'm ordering my custom pc build entirely dedicated to art, both self study and for business. So as of now, I'm closed for all commissions until I get all settled down. This laptop simply is too much of a frustration. No matter how hard I tried to fix it, including workarounds, it just make me wanna smash it, expiring its life for nothing. So there.

I also have been wanting to upgrade my portfolio, just taking a look in my gallery is too much; however, I don't want to get rid of them since it tells a tale of my history all way back to 2003. I'm just a human being who want to dominate the universe with my art skill and to inspire others to practice and do same! ;) Haha! So with that being said, I'm looking for some way to get my portfolio pumped up so to speak. Both new pieces and in new organizing way. Maybe a separate site for real portfolio showcase while keeping this DA gallery, well, dusty? ;)

So as you can see, I'm in a period of transition so my art submit, comments, etc. might be a little inconstant. I'm still here! Just bear with me! <3

Hey all :) Sorry for being a bit quiet ~

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 23, 2011, 4:25 PM

Hi all, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here. I'm a bit quiet because I have quite a lot going on.

1) My laptop as much as I wanted unfortunately isn't meeting my demands of art lately so I'm currently researching for a good solid pc system dedicated to my art work/career.

2) My husband just got a new pc so I'm currently testing his specs, pushing it to its own ultimate limit so I know what I really need for my own build. In the process of doing so, I have discovered that I missed a lot of softwares that I couldn't experiment with to my laptop's technical limitations, Blender, Terregan, and such to name few.

3d softwares, especially Blender (free and opensource), made me realize how much I've learned from playing around with the lighting, colors, and forms. So, if anybody need some kind of interactive study, use them! Seriously!

3) I don't want to be drama wannabe; however, I'm going through a bit of rough time again and it eats my time. :/

So because of those I've been feeling very nostalgic and a bit unmotivated (mostly due to the frustration I have had with my laptop). However for people who commissioned me - I'll continue working on them and contact you personally. I'm still here I swear and will keep on painting! ;)

Btw, this therapeutic, WIP painting in order to help me out in rough time, maybe you all want to have a sneak peek- I need to say this though, it's a bit confronting for me:…
With this, I tested my husband's pc with a recorder software running (for livestream) and it performed great :)

Thank you for your understanding! :)
