I'M A GRUMPY OLD FART AND LIKE TO BE LEFT ALONE FOR THE MOST PART.  WHAT WILL HAPPEN IS THAT I WILL JUST END UP BLOCKING YOU..!!   So c'mon.. just enjoy my work, comment if you can, drop a cash tip now and then; have a dialog and go from there.. but once you start making pointless offers, all bets are off and I'll just block you... understand? On to the boring stuff..

It's been 20+ years for me here on DA. I subscribe to one of the DA Core memberships (Core+).  That comes out to $120.00 a year with no return on my investment.. basically.. That's my family's own hard earned money to display my art using DeviantArt's customizing function, and I like my DA site to look awesome than just the plain ol' DA green.. and I (or we, including my wife) pay for that/this feature.. and I let followers and visitors alike view, fave and download it; technically I'm making bupkis.. I'm always in the hole on this site. I know this, I understand it and I mostly allow it. I like folks to see my work and I like to interact with them and other artists and fans over this site. I would like to see fans and viewers pay a small price to see my premium stuff.. but it's hard to get anyone to pay anything that they can just screen cap, download or fave for nothing. I know this going in.. I knew this when I made my account here back in 2003. I know my art is not the high caliber stuff I see here featured on this site, I do what I can and go from there. I'm basically a graphic artist, I see design in everything I encounter. I'm just built that way.

SO... Why not spend a few sheckles to view my premium stuff..? The least amount I can have is a dollar.. or DA points, Llama badges or whatever they call it. Yes I know.. you want some, you gotta give some, so I will be looking at other great artists and perhaps actually subscribe to their awesome works because they're really good and they deserve it. Watch for that.

So.. let's begin..

I was born in Evroux, France.. ..Lived in many locations, Florida, Texas, eventually settling in Southern California (Riverside, CA) with my folks, from there I live mostly (by myself) in L.A. and thereabouts, moving back to Riverside, CA with my wife .. currently my wife and I live near Denver, Colorado.. 

I am your basic atheist type and I am also a socialist/neo-communist/leftist by nature. (Not 24/7 mind you)

My "day job" is at a local door manufacturing plant in Denver, been there almost 20 years. Right now, I mainly like to putter around in my shop/study/office either working on an art piece, constructing something out of wood while listening to my tube amped record player. I have a lot of hobbies that are too numerous to write here, but one of them is working with my bonsai (which I don't do anymore since they all died..selfish bastards) and noodling around on my Mac with Garageband. My other hobby is playing RPG's (D&D 3.5e and a D20 Star Trek RPG [as player] & Starfinder [as a GM])

In addition to my art, I've been involved in the cartooning and illustration field for a little over 35+ years, and have been published in a few comic books and various periodicals here and there. I've also had a few gallery showings back in my hometown of Riverside, California, and recently here in Denver... but that has slowed waaaaaay down since...

BTW.. might go back to doing commissions (or suggestions) ..and I may possibly regret that decision later... but give it whirl huh..?  (No I won't be doing commissions)
