Wicker Beast

This is something which some of my friends will recognize. I've been trying to make this into a finished work for a long while now and I'm not sure that it's actually done. However, I am sure that I don't want to work on it anymore.

This work was beginning to bother me due to the strain it was putting on my system. I was experimenting in Blender with a technique of converting particle strands into curves... It has some cool benefits, but lag isn't one of them. I'm thinking that this will mark one of my last forays in "high poly" rendering, so we'll see what the future holds.

Done in Blender 2.62 with heavy Photoshop
