Dia popped out of Donna the instant that the Moon cleared the horizon, chiming happily to be free once more. A touch fixed the damage they’d done to the Donna body, and another gave her a throat that could handle Dia’s voice properly.
Duncan patted Sidney’s leg softly. “Time for me to go play waitress. Did you want to tweak the style of the couch, or maybe add the ability to see while you’re wearing it?”
Sidney considered that, then shook her head. “It’d be creepy for there to be a face in the couch. If I want to watch TV, I’ll use the couch the normal way.” She sprawled out further to make her point, putting her feet in Duncan’s lap. “And now you’re trapped.”
Duncan laughed. “This body wasn’t going anywhere anyway.”
“Good. Have fun waitressing!”
