Since I was incredibly pissed off about the recent incredibly stupid things said by Mark Millar and Todd McFarland ( dkalban.deviantart.com/journal… ); I decided to write a story written as a counterpoint to their words. It is also against, in a way, one of the worst aspects of comic nerd culture: the sexism. Most of all, it's against the victim blaming done against rape victims in so many rape cases lately, for example the case in Steubenville, Ohio (which in part inspired the events of this story).

When a girl is raped by four football players and is the one blamed for it, Superboy steps up to defend her as the real victim even as their fellow students and even the principal is willing to give her rapists a pass. In the end, it's up to the Boy of Steel to make things right.

As Connor is presently attending McDuffie High in the New 52 (see recent Superboy issues), I decided to set the bulk of the action there. Mr. Levine is the guidance counselor there so he was brought in as well.

I say stop blaming the victims of rape for the crimes against them, stop abuse period, and stand against the rampant sexism going around.

Story by me

Superboy and related characters belong to DC Comics

Edit 8/12/13: OVER 100 FAVES IN UNDER 8 HOURS! Thank you all! I don't know if you're faving for the story or the art I chose for the preview image (seriously, DA, you can't preview a PDF?); but either way I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Edit 8/13/13: ALMOST 1000 FAVES A BIT OVER 24 HOURS LATER Thank you all! I wish I could thank you on your pages; but DA will prevent me from doing so (since the site will think I'm spamming). And I can't keep up anyways! Plus it's on the front page of the site! Once again, thank you all!

Edit 8/14/13: Names and grammar fixed

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I have to say this was an incredibly powerful story. The characters seem almost too lifelike at times. It is well deserving of all the recognition it has received. Well done!

The hell superboy says this?

What comic did this happen?

"I say stop blaming the victims of rape for the crimes against them, stop abuse period, and stand against the rampant sexism going around."
YOU Do know that women can SUE men for sexism nowadays right?
Also I hardly see ANY victim blaming.....HELL The 1 to 4 rape statics does NOT include FALSE rape charges that ruin men. Because EVERYONE bandwagons the hell out of the dude.

The Law is much more harder on men period -_-

No, it misses the mark completely. Especially since this was inspired by the Stubenville case.

....wait I know this case.

It was the popular kids (mostly the rich gals) defending those fuckers -_-

The media RUINED these guys lol

UPDATE: And the snowflake blocks me....ugh such a child.

And yet if you look at the ACTUAL facts, they dragged the rape victim through the mud.

Goodbye.

I loved that and it deserves all the favourites. I could really picture it all on page. If only this could be published by DC. And if only it could end like this more often in real life.

I actually sent this into DC...they had to send it back due to legal issues, but they were very encouraging

Yeah, me too

Well, it was nice they were encouraging then. Maybe it can be reworked and published with original characters someday.

Thinking about the rapes and crimes against women just boils my blood. I really wish stories like this get higher audience and support so they create more influence. People keep saying "this is wrong. It should be stopped" but it hasn't but barely dwindled, The right method it is still to be found..

Whoa... Powerful story. I can definitely see this as a comic. I too am greatly against rape and sexism, and I got ticked off at the bullies, rapists, and that jerk principal in this story. Rage  However, I could not wipe the smile off my face when Becky finally got her justice.

I've been fortunate to not be raped (knock on wood), but I've had my fair share of run-ins with bullies, and teachers (even principals) who would not do a thing to help me. I actually got into a school where I wasn't bullied, but my best friend was, and I was the only one who'd stand up for her, as the principal and teachers would talk to her tormentors first and decide not to listen to her.

This is definitely added to my faves. You are a fantastic script writer. :)
