The Blizzard Of Jade Mountain [Chapter 2]~Canal~
"So, anti-firescales? Am I hearing that right?" Brightlife tilted her head to the side, her snout somewhat scrunched up. Canal let out a loud, dramatic groan, raising his wings over his head.
"I don't really think he wants to talk about that right now." Anaconda pointed out from the ceiling, her tail swaying back and forth in a gentle, almost hypnotizing manner. "He doesn't seem to want to do anything." The NightWing dragonet replied, voice matter-of-fact. She'd arrived about half an hour after Canal, while the rest of their Winglet had yet to come.
Deciding that he would prove them wrong, Canal sat up so quickly that he almost slammed his head into the rock ledge over top of him. "Actually, I'm quite alright. Having a ton of dragons gawk at your scales can get quite boring after a while." He held up a talon to his mouth as he forced a somewhat-realistic yawn, jumping down from his perch. "I'm going to go look for the rest of our group. Feel free to join me."

The pale gold dragonet huffed, lifting his wings over his head to protect him from the rain. They froze instantly as they touched his scales, rolling off in small beads of ice. He was a SkyWing, no matter what Peak said; he was supposed to be soaring over the clouds, beating his wings proudly, breathing plumes of hot fire. Not whatever this mist was.
At least Queen Flare isn't mad at me for what happened to Carnage. Not that it was my fault, anyways. He thought gloomily as he stared up at the imposing mound of rock. Jade Mountain Academy; underground and full of dragons. His worst nightmares combined. It wasn't that he was afraid of other dragons, but with the ability to freeze whatever he touched, he tried to stay away from them.
Deciding that he'd rather be inside than being pelted by what was basically hail for him, he headed inside, trying to make himself as small as possible. Almost as soon as he'd entered, he was nearly stepped on by a trio of
The Blizzard Of Jade Mountain [Prologue]Three dragons sat huddled in a small circle, their heads dipped in towards the small fire that had bloomed in the center.
"What's so important that you couldn't wait to tell us this morning, Nightspeaker?" A dark red and gold SkyWing hissed, lashing his tail furiously. The slightly violet-tinged NightWing replied in a calm manner. "I believe that if you listen to my name, you will receive your answer. It's...quite important, really."
"Then spit it out already." A pale gold SandWing growled, narrowing his glistening black eyes into slits.
Nightspeaker let out a heavy breath and turned to glare at her desert companion before speaking.
"The sun will set and never rise,
When Jade Mountain freezes over.
A dragonet of highest skies,
When Jade Mountain freezes over.
A dragonet of shimmering blues,
A dragonet of icy hues,
An enemy of the greatest ruse,
When Jade Mountain freezes over."
Her two companions pondered this for a moment, each of them wearing the same expression on their face.
