After shooting a very disappointing, completely cloudy sunset from Steptoe Butte, I was about to pack and leave when I saw a couple of stormchasers arriving at the spot and overheard them talking about lightning. So I thought, why not, and drove down a bit and started shooting several 30 sec exposures. This was the best one of the lot. Wish it was composed better, but I haven't learnt how to predict lightning strikes... yet!
like it alot
incredible shot, love the soft tones
Great shot --- love the color and our location. So cool!
very impressive! those are hard to catch, and the slight diffuse glow is a nice touch.
Nicely done!! I'd say your a quick learner.
Even if the composition isn't exactly top-notch, as Rhythmiku has previously stated, it's pretty hard to capture a lightning shot, and you did a pretty good job here
Not bad! It's pretty difficult to predict lightning, but this shot is actually pretty dang lucky. You've got a cg (cloud-to-ground) and a cc (cloud-to-cloud) here. AT THE SAME TIME.
Wow, I didn't know those jargons! Thank you!
Wow, amazing capture of the lighting!
Amazing! I love lightning pictures
