Avatar Physical World Map by djinn327 Avatar Physical World Map by djinn327
A physical map of the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'm making a version with borders and labels that should be done in a little while.

Texture provided by MapleRose.

Edit 2012/3/12: Centered the landforms.

What is that land mass island in the far northeast?

The Gaang has never been there, so it's not canonically confirmed as far as I know.

Does anyone know if there is a way to close the lines on North and Southern Water tribes?

Best Map. I like how you made it actually look realistic with the river sizes and such.

Was this done in photoshop? Are the brushes for download?

Did really good on this, love the more realistic style of it. THe actual map you see in the show always bugged me as it looked a bit too stylized, and made Ba Sing Se look bigger than Texas! Here it looks a bit more reasonable... just a bit.

Truthfully brilliant job here, Djinn. I am in awe of your work! The details of the geography and positioning are fantastic!I can't wait to see your bordered and labeled version... Bravo!

Also... by any chance, is your username from the "Children of the Lamp" series?

Thank you, sunchild. The new one's already posted here.

No, I'm not familiar with that. I likely got it from Tales from the Arabian Nights.

I like the map. But it seems like it needs colour...

The only thing I wish for in this, is being able to zoom.

It would take forever to load if it were fully zoomable. Downloads are enabled though.

Nice! You used the title sequence for reference?

Yeah, though I tried to destylize it from that. The landforms are bunched in to form an oval shape there so I let them spread out more.
