Trying out the new 2020 monstober challenge by Beastsoulart. For this I’m putting together within the prompts the creatures featured in my OC series Neo Underground: Among man & monsters. Day 19) TENTACLES
Kraken
Creatures who thrive the deepest abyss are subjected to a phenomenon known as deep sea gigantism, this phenomenon also applies to large aquatic monsters. Krakens are colossal Aberrants who flourish within the pitch feeding on whales & smaller leviathans. It had been theorised that these many armed monstrosities are forced to the surface due to human activity in the recent times, drilling the ocean floor for seabed nectar. Thus leading to a series of gruesome yet misunderstood attacks.

Day 20) PLANT/FLORA
Dryad
Also known as Wood Nymphs, Dryads are gargantuan Aberrants that thrive in thick jungles as apex predators. Disguised as the native greenery in its environs it practically disappears in plain sight but blinding speed it strikes unwary prey using its scythe like forelimbs. Scrutiny should be one’s predominant tool when trekking the forests or chopping for lumber, for the trees may have eyes…

Day 21) GENTLE GIANT
Aspidochelone
I believed it was during the mid 14th century when I last saw such a magnificent animal, though I was such young Warlock then. Abroad a crew of pirates they told tales of mysterious islands that disappear as fast as they can reappear, though mind you many of these witnesses were either subjected to the madness at sea or known for drinking seawater. That was until it was something to behold the moment I saw the beast on a lone beach in the south sea. I wonder if she will remember me the next time our paths meet once again…
