Description
The mutations concept gives the affected offspring a choice to select 1 out of 7 strains (Α, Β, Γ, Δ, Z, Ψ and Ω) that will be permanently set to their being. Each mutation strain grants the affected creature with a unique particular stat super boost, perks as well as cons.
Stain A is a mutation that grants creatures a mastery over stamina & girth, enabling them to utilise prolonged marathons & sustained bursts. It also imbues their attacks with the water attribute.
Physical changes
Colour changes:
Base colours - Teal green, cyan & beige.
Secondary colours - Navy blue, violet & fuchsia.
Patterned colours - Silvery white stripes & centripetal swirls.
Mutation features
Creatures gain an aquatic appearance growing fins, scales & webbed digits. Particular species would also gain features like barbels & spines. Giving an almost piscine like look.
Pros
• Strain grants higher stamina as well as a decreased consumption rate.
• Creatures of strain A gain a water attribute added to their attacks. A status effect called Drenched is an affliction unique to creatures of the mutation. Drenched drastically decreases stamina faster than normal & slows the movement of the afflicted.
• Creatures of strain A are immune to the status effects Burn & Inflamed.
• Much like the Spinosaurus, Tropical Crystal Wyverns & the Shadowmane, all creatures of the strain gain the Hydration buff when in water.
Cons
• Strain decreases hunger intake & makes levelling a derelict choice, adding little to it.
• Creatures of the strain are weakest to creatures of the Z strain mutation. Creatures of the mutation are most vulnerable towards the Sparked status effect.
