nautiKK - visual style for Windows 7

Actually, the use of the cyan color is inspired by the new formula 1 team Mercedes GP. They use this color on their f1 car, which looks, in my opinion, awesome. So I thought, why not creating a visual style with this color? This is the result.

Update:

x86 users had a white clock bug, should be fixed now
Thanks to ramios

-Icons used in the preview are Token ( NOT INCLUDED)

-OtisBee helped me finding a matching name and he got the idea: nautiKK ... Thanks a lot :)

Hope you all enjoy my visual style. Would appreciate comments and/or fav's! :)

P.S.: Many users asked me, why their icons didn't change after applying the style. The answer is simple, the style doesn't change any icon, you have to replace them on your own.

Awesome; just what I needed! :la: I was so sick of the blinding white of the original windows. Love the sleek, dark design; thank you so much for making this :D

is there any way to convert this to a Grey No color Visual Style? Or just red detailed.

Possible but takes time.

1st you've to get used to some of tool to work this stuffs for yourself. Resource Hacker (or similar alternative) is required. Photoshop/GIMP (similar alternative). Advanced payware alternative is Ave's Windows Style Builder (this one is made dedicatedly for windows visual style editing/creating).
Basically, you've to extract every graphic element (which have color you don't want) from *.msstyles file to regular separate *.png files for further modification. Use Photoshop or any graphic software to edit/manipulate those given *.png (this task could be less time consuming if all you want is grayed them out, there's batch convertion function in XnView - a free image viewer). After done grayish process, use a resource editor (Reshacker/restorator/etc...) import back those modified *.png and rebuild *.msstyles file, save as one with different name (in case you messed up in export/import process and the msstyles file no longer work. Have original backup one to start all over again if necessary). Done those works, you ready to put it into ...\theme\*theme-name*\ and load it up.

Thanks for the awesome theme. I got pretty bored with the Windows defaults so I think I'll be sticking with this one for a while.
I do have one rather awkward complaint though. Personally, I like my taskbar to be on the side of my screen but your theme doesn't support it. Looks like I'll be keeping that on the bottom from now on. :)

done it :) after some early problems with my Windows Ultimate 64 bit.
For example: i couldn't simply replace shell32.dll and timedate.cpl. it look like they are normally under use while explorer.exe is running (more surprising there were any issues to replace the explorer.exe). When i change the name for the shell32.dll (e.g. shell32.dll.BackupNautikk) and want to copy the shell32.dll form the Nautikk folder it didn't work and i also couldn't renamed it back xD. Afterwards i can laught about it.
I think you can easily replace this files via the "windows security mode" or like me with a usb protable (or a CD) Windows 7. Under Repair ---> select Driver ----> choose Driver you have access to your system and can make the changes. You also can go with annother win7 e.g. via another harddrive. Thats all alternative Backupplans if you have Problems with the system files.

so thx DjabyTown/Patrick for this Theme, so far i can tell it looks nice :)

Ps: hope you read some commends. Since your last commend was feb 2013, i think you have also better things to do xD

Hello,

I apologize in advance what message was translated with Google translation (I'm French).
To begin I would like to congratulate you for this wonderful theme.
I met a concern in the menu customization or we chose the themes the left pane remains white.
Would you have a solution to this problem.

Sunshy.

Would really love a desaturated version of this.
Full-on dark grey or matte black.

Wonderful theme, a pity only comes in this color

For some strange reason this theme is interfering with my waterfox browser. It creates unnecessary spaces before and after icons for every bookmark in the dropdown menus.

I finally succeeded in applying the style - shell32.dll caused me a lot of trouble and made me restore my system couple of times - but now it works fine and looks awesome, so thank you for your incredible theme and thank you for making it available for download :)
