I remember when 'The Internet' was a new, exciting consumer experience. It was a very foreign idea, one that needed explaining and tutorials and sadly, cheesy videos like in the below clip. It came on a disk with a very specific, obnoxious soundtrack and a very extended waiting period. I still know people (particularly of the older generation) who do not know what a browser is, and who do not know that opening a browser is not synonymous with starting up the internet.
