Lamborghini LP560-4 Day Shoot by DistortedImagery Lamborghini LP560-4 Day Shoot by DistortedImagery
Here is the second image using the Hdri and backplates, I am allot happier with this one than the reventon. Due to the Hdri not having much in the way of reflection in the sky, it sorta made the car feel dull.
So decided to try another backplate with a shiny Gallardo :D
As usual, rendering, lighting and composting done by myself.
Model created in 3ds max and rendered with Vray.

Open for crits :D

I have now taken on board all the crits so far

Changed the windows, sorted refraction, also dulled them down more
made car smaller
sorted out the chromatic abberation, so its only around the edge and not front on.

anything else then let me know :)

Cool! You've sorted some issues but added some new ones! The polarized lens is cool but the texture is exactly the same on both sides which gives it away...

:)Pleasure dude. Nah, nothing the others haven't already mentioned. I'm glad you're one of those people that can actually take criticism. It really helps an artist to move forward.

I appreciate a c&c man, as you say its the only way to move an image forward. Some people really cant take it though and can get a bit defensive :(

Ah yes I see my bad, I have a feeling the side glass may just be single plane and not shelled!

Will sort the masking issue as well on the roof!

The refraction issue: Look through the side and rear windows. Rather than seeing what's behind the car, you're seeing a bent and distorted version of the ground plane. The refraction level is too high - or you're using single sided glass geometry in v-ray.

Also - what's going on with the roof line? It looks super jagged - not AA, but something else is making it look almost rippled.

That looks nice. Just get rid of the refraction issue on the windows and decrease the size of the car. ;)

Hi Duron, what refraction issue are you talking about?

The car is the right size for this particular road, plus she is a rather wide one ;)

I also work with this HDRI package these days. if you compare with the marker post (left) your gallardo is too big.. the gallaro is a very small, low but a wide car.. (already seen live) believe me, otherwise i would'nt mention it ;)

Refraction issue: take a look to the rear window.. you see the HDRi and not the backplate :) to fix that you have to add the backplate to Vray render setup>Vray Enivronment>Refraction Envi override slot :)

just want to help :)

hey man yeah no worries, im glad of the help :)

I will make her a bit smaller going on your advice, the backplate is actually showing through the back window as I cut it out and placed onto the interior :)

Cheers for the help dude, really appreciate it!

Awseome work as usual! There's not much to crit really, so nit picking is what i'll resort to...

Can't fault the car as it's stunning. Imo there are some issues with the post work...

I'm not sure how you apply your chromatic aberration, but it seems to be too much. It's really noticeable on the Yellow emblem( which is in the middle of the image). Chromatic aberration only happens as a result of the "bulge" of the lens, so it's more towards the edges of an image. I seems to be evenly distributed in your image as if you nudged the channels left/right one pixel. Lastly The sun flares on the wing mirrors, i find it hard to believe that the sun was caught perfectly on both sides. Maybe if you offset the one or got rid of it it would add more randomness. But like i said this is my personal opinion...:)

Excllent crit thanks Nas! Yes I will correct the CA as i checked and your rigth about the lens bulge :)

The flares are picking up where the sun is in the sky, I admit the right on can be taken down a tad!

cheers again dude

Why aren't you making cars for Forza Motorsport? D:
Some models are glitchy for that game, you should fix that up (;

Lol dude, there are many more talented automotive artists out there than me :)

Thank you for the compliment though :)

It takes practice and time, like with everything so keep at it.

It wasnt for me, the pay is crap, hours are long and you can never guarentee what game you will be working on!

Psh, that's what they all say. So on top of it, you're modest. Ha. Just great.
Oh well, you're right then, good to know that you're not working your ass off for something that wasn't worth it.
Thanks for the advice, too :)
