Sorry it has taken a longer time than usual, but stuff got hectic so this got a bit delayed. This cycle we have five contestants, so once again we're shaking things up! If you're reading this and think, hmmm, I wouldn't mind joining this for one round, please scroll down to the end, because I need your help!
But first things first, the characters (everybody's first pick):
cyanoscarlet: Elena, Final Fantasy VII
SagartheRebel: Sice, Final Fantasy Type 0
chevaliers17: Yuna, Final Fantasy X
Kawaii-Ash: Ramza, Final Fantasy Tactics
KazumiJade: Xion, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days
I'll get around to making the bracket later, but for now this'll have to do :'D
On to the assignment!
We're starting simple. Draw you and your opponent battling it out at one of the following places:
- One of the FF X shrines
- Luxerion Cathedral (LR: FF XIII)
- KH's Dive to the Heart (if you pick this one you are allowed to make your own dive to the heart leadlight of course!)
- Cleyra Cathedral (FF IX)
- Sector 5 Church / Aerith's Church (FF VII)
- Bur-Omisace (FF XII)
- Altar Cave (FF III)
If you feel like this list is missing a church / cathedral-like setting, feel free to discuss it with us! I probably have missed some since I don't know all games by heart :')
The deadline: November 22, 23:59 UTC -12:00.
CyanoScarlet vs SagartheRebel
chevaliers17 vs Kawaii-Ash
KazumiJade vs Guest (which, for this round, is me as Rikku from Final Fantasy X-2)
This is how the tournament will go this time. In total there will be five rounds (because I know how most of you like to have some extra time). The first four rounds you will face a randomly picked contestant, so you will be facing all of the participants at one point. During these rounds you can accumulate points, which will be in the bracket so you can keep track. The two who have the most points at the end of these rounds will then battle it out once more in the final round!
So how do you get the points?
By winning of course! But that is not all. Originality and execution are also key! Everyone will get points based on their entry, so even though you might not win all your rounds, you can still go on to the finals if you've executed all of the assignments well.
I hope you all have fun and, as always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask!!
Finally, to those who don't want to participate in the tournament, but would like / wouldn't mind to join for one round, please let me know. We're in desperate need of guest participants because of the uneven number. I wish I could pick up the loose ends and tie them together, but unfortunately I don't think I have the time to draw something for each round. If you're interested in helping out, either comment on this journal or send me a note (preferably with dates that suit you best and which character you'd like to draw)! Thanks in advance!
