We strive to make our group and chat room a place where everyone feels welcome. In order to do that, we have to enforce rules. We must make it clear that the rules were created with the input of members and the admin staff.
What to know before joining

Initial rules once you are a member

After six months, you can go ahead and apply for a fourth character, and after a year, you can go ahead and apply for a fifth. Please note that the same criteria of it not being one that interacts a lot with your other characters still stands for these, and the fourth and fifth characters will be harder to get, as we will focus on your activity and ability to handle this many when considering you.

Role playing as your character

-If your character doesn't do magic, they shouldn't suddenly become a master of it
-If you are given a magical item, it shouldn't last more than two weeks as it will feel OOC
-If your character is transformed by magic or put under a spell, it shouldn't last more than two weeks
-If your character is a villain, they shouldn't become close friends with the heroes (unless it's part of an evil plan)

The only exception is if your character has used it in canon! (For example, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Judge Frollo says "damn" when referring to religion, like when he quothed "My soul will be damned if I give in to this desire." Lampwick called Pinocchio a "jackass" (animal-wise, before political correctness) when turning into a donkey.)

Interacting with other characters

Rules for uploading deviations, journals, and favoriting

-Write an IC journal entry as your character (you can even make it relate to your OOC comment!).
-Then at the bottom of the journal entry, leave a brief OOC comment
-Example: "Oh, my caballero Panchito just invited me to visit his home in Mexico for a week! I'm so excited!
((I'm going away for a week, see ya when I get back))"
-Member Examples: fav.me/d5vxf8v fav.me/d5rvorm fav.me/d5wb2dk

Not only is it rather disrespectful towards the original artist, it's also considered art theft and could get both your main account as well as your RP account in trouble with DA staff.
So just to be save please don't upload artwork that doesn't belong to you.
What can I upload as art on my RP account?
- Your own character related artwork.
- Character related photo's/screenshots.
- Character related written pieces. (Be it as part of an character arc or something written as added information etc.)
- Character related screenshot edits or photo edits.
- Character related Dollmaker pictures.
(DA staff doesn't seem to be bothered much by the last two and it's not fanwork made by another artist.)
If you have uploaded artwork made by other artists, you'll be given a warning and two weeks to remove said artworks from your gallery.
If that has not happened by then, you'll be given an official warning before the staff removes the artworks.
(OC) ORIGINAL CHARACTERS AND NON-DISNEYRP ACCOUNTS

All members are expected to agree to our rules and to follow them. If you have any questions about these rules, please feel free to ask us. We would be happy to clarify.
If you start to push the limits, we will be forced to remind you of the rules or give you a warning. Three warnings and you're out.
Thank you,
your DisneyRP-Old-and-New admin staff

Writing Disney characters is not too different than writing other characters, in practice! A certain PG-rated level of conduct is usually implied, as characters from all over Disney media have to mix without any complications (usually sprouting from characters from darker movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and etc).
As long as the character's personality is down-pat, and they can interact with characters from all kinds of different scenarios, I'm sure you won't have trouble at all!

I really wanna apply for a certain character, I've found the code word, but I'm not sure what I should do in this RP-ing. (I'm quite new to this, sorry.)
Like, should I apply for a new account and password? Can I post some of my RP-Character related artwork I'd drawn myself on the Character's page that I'm RP-ing? Are RPs only in comments, or is there a chat room or something?

You can find a template of what you need to write in your RP application on our HOW TO JOIN page.
We do have several chatrooms in which our members can RP but roleplaying threads are mostly done trough comments and as a response to a RP starter journal.
So it's a matter of preference of which you want to use the most.
To get an idea of how this will look like and work, feel free to take a look at one of our member's pages and see where the responses are and such.
Please do note that the activity on an account is looked at. So when there's not reply being left within the time of 4 weeks, the account will be opened up.
You are allowed to post character related artwork on the character pages as long as it's kept below the mature rating.
