It is said that musicians put their heart into their music, I think that Violin by `disintegration is an excellent example of just this.

Description
This started as a commission from my cousin, who happens to play the violin. He had the idea of a violin with a heart and wanted me to make an illustration of it so he could put it on a shirt for personal use. The problem was that I couldn't draw a stick figure even if my life depended on it. I suggested a photo-manipulation instead. He agreed, and there never was a shirt.
At the time of making this I had bought and was listening to King Diamond's The Puppet Master, which tells the story of a puppeteer who makes his puppets out of real people, the process being a rather brutal and gory one. I believe that, in a way, that influenced this image a lot.
My cousin provided a lot of violin pictures and I selected this one. The heart was from a public domain medical archive that I'm afraid is no longer online. Textures may be from here, devart, so if you see anything that looks familiar, let me know so I can give proper credit to its stock-makers.

Besides the fact that "The Puppet Master" served to a good inspiration, seriously, your work here reminds us that to play violin is to play with all our heart. We really have to put our heart on it. No less.
State of the art, Disintegration! Congratulations!
