Your use of such strong conflicting warm and cool colors conveys an interest as to who this woman is. Is she as conflicted as the color? Sensual and Passionate in one aspect, separate and alone in another? The look on her face seems to be one of searching. Well done... makes me think it would be nice to get to know this person.
The person is me, its a self portrait

I indeed realized it was you (self portrait), but the way you portrayed yourself is what I found so intriguing. Were my impressions of duality any where close to what you were feeling when you did the painting?
this is the photograph btw

I keep thinking about your experiment. It is easy to draw a conclusion about the superficiality of modern culture... but I can't help but wonder deep down, would you recommend others to do the same?
It is a painting of an experiment I did. I wanted to look at whether we control our appearance or whether our appearance controls us. I starved myself (pretty much) for 5weeks, (I lost 25lbs) and completely changed my appearance to see how it affected me as a person. This is a painting of myself during that time. So I guess there is a duality...a conflict of personalities and a relationship between the physical and emotional.

What a wild experiment. Is it complete? Are you writing up the results? Are you sensitive to not only the changes in how others react to you , but also how you react to others? In assuming the "Living Doll" role, did you're personality change along with your body? If so, intentionally becoming a Living Doll persona, or becoming the persona as a result of the change? Were you more confident? Self-Centered? Did you enjoy more attention from the opposite sex? (I am sure you received it, as even my reaction to the photo was initially lustful.. prior to reading the second reply that explains the experiment).

Sounds like a premise for a paper in psychology or sociology. Sorry for all of the questions, but I am intrigued.
