I like this :) (please note its the tree that was the subject not the snail ;) ) (the tree is not centred but the snail had to be to get all the brances the way I wanted them) Also I don't recommend going within 5 feet of one of these trees. They bite!

I love this, it reminds me of the flying monkey scene from The Wizard of Oz (I dont know why it just does). Awesome photo.

I love your observation skills. To be able to find the smallest detail in such a large environment filled with distractions really is amazing. Between the title and the lone snail surrounded by thorns you've created a photo that really does speak to me... It really does amaze me how one minor detail - something so small, could add so much to the photo. It may be breaking "the rules" by centring your composition around what would be accepted as the main subject of the photo, but I think you’ve just proved that throwing the rulebook out the window really does work in photography…

you shouldn've said anything about the snail not being the focus, maybe instead leave it as an exercise for the viewer...
