Yagyu Samon Tomonori has been Tokugawa Iemitsu’s sword instructor since he was only 15, but when Iemitsu inherits the position of shogun, their intimate relationship outside the dojo has the potential to pose a threat to both Iemitsu and the Yagyu, prompting Samon’s power-hungry father, Munenori, to send his son away to Iga.
