I always wanted to do a Metroid-fanart (I'm a big fan of the game). now I finally got the time and inspiration to do it 
But I couldn't decide between the Zero-Suit and the Power-Suit, so I threw a coin. you see the result

the main-work happend with Mypaint. Only the finishing was in Gimp. It is indeed harder than PS. But since I switched to Linux my PS doesn't really work good enough and there were not many alternatives.
But now I found Krita, I work a lot with that one.
