am I the only one who thinks the bottom part looks like a toe?
Anyhoo, it's great, I especially like the shading teqnique.
I'm not sure why, but the expression reminds me of something from Aeon Flux (as do many of your other drawings)
If you don't mind, I'll be borrowing your talent now. ^_^

great!! i really like this work, how everything end, arms, legs whatever and the opening of head, the butterfly as creativity is a really nice impression, great, i love the way u did the shadows and the way u painted them.. u rule

the expression you captured on the face is amazing with the big eyes and the one eyebrow being a bit lifted. The medium you used is a bit unusual but it just shows what a talented artist you are, in particular with the position of the shadows.

This makes me want to cry.

Oh that's so sad.

I'll tell you what it needs, though. Arms with which this poor guy'll hold a butterfly net. Yes yes yes.

Extremely good visual representation of a concept! it's like your work itself is a butterfly unlatched from your head... Awesome!

I love this concept, and I think it's one of your best. I like how the happy, beautiful butterfly represents creativity... fluttering and delicate, and almost impossible to hold onto. It comes to you on its own terms. The slumped posture and facial expression are so expressive too, they make me think "I know that feeling!", complete with the exclamation point. And the missing limbs seem so fitting, kind of like a frustrating inability to act. You know I always love your lines and forms, too. The shading on this one is particularly awesome. Hug

freakin awesome for lack of a better term. i made a trilogy of paintings with this girl with crazy hair, she represents different aspects of being a woman: beauty, strength, and wisdom. the wisdom one is her head open, much like that, and there are all sorts of shapes coming out of her head. yours is way cooler than mine though, harhar! a+! :) (Smile)
