Hi everyone.
I am back with another entry for @Taliesaurus's art contest shown here.
But if you're new here, here's an idea on what DinoVerse is about. DinoVerse is a six-book series written by the late Scott Ciencin. In a small Montana town, a student invents an impressive light show for a school science project. However, something goes incredibly wrong, and he and three of his classmates find their minds transported back to the Late Cretaceous Period. Now stuck in the bodies of various prehistoric animals, they have to solve a puzzle and find their way home.
So here we have Loki the Quetzalcoatlus living up to his name. Somewhat. Candayce has realized her makeshift bikini has been torn off, and immediately she suspects the Quetzalcoatlus of doing it. All he does is turn his head as if playing innocent. Meanwhile, a random Anzu has appeared, but upon seeing the strange menagerie looks like it might consider going somewhere else instead.
I did suggest this to @Taliesaurus before when we were discussing ideas for DinoVerse art. When this contest came around I figured I may as well draw it and see how it came out.
Now, one thing to keep in mind is that Loki is an actual animal. No humanity whatsoever. However, he was given the name Loki because of his mischievous personality.
So here, I based this off a scene from the books where Candayce's makeshift bikini was taken off her while she was asleep. The group realized Loki did it. In my head canon I think Janine might've pulled a prank on Candayce before, and then turned her head away while saying, "I don't know what you're talking about."
Now Loki is imitating her actions to act all innocent.
I had the urge to draw an Anzu as well, so I added one here as well. @Taliesaurus suggested I base it off the design from the Saurian game.
Okay, I'm probably boring you now, so I'll let you go.
Loki and Candayce (and Janine) belong to Scott Ciencin.
very funny.
