Character I created for a superhero RPG! Isn't she cute?




The mysterious "Project ERYSS" has been around for decades. Nobody knows just where it is located, who is running it, or what their ultimate goal is, but it's probably dodgy and most certainly illegal. What is known, at least in certain social circles, is that if you are in need of a superpowered woman for whatever reason, and you have the money to spend, then Project ERYSS can help you.

The ERYSS girls, as they're called, are genetically-grown clones, completely indistinguishable from normal women apart from the fact that they all have superpowers. They can be found in a variety of places; as henchwomen for supervillains, as female soldiers, as spies and assassins, or as sleeper agents living deceptively normal lives. Some of them have even struck out on their own and become vigilantes or superheroines. Their powers are as varied as their roles, but most of them have powers that aid them in combat or stealth: Super-strength, flight, invulnerability, teleportation, stun rays, telekinesis, invisibility -- those kinds of things.

But then there are the "odd ones." Who may be failed experiments, or the result of weirdly specific missions. They have more unorthodox or nontraditional powers, which may seem weird or even harmless at first... but which might prove to be more useful or even lethal than you'd suspect.



Candykate, or "Kate" if we're being informal, is one of those odd ones. Created with the ability to create any kinds of confectionery out of thin air -- chocolate, caramels, gummis, hard candies and other sweet and tasty things -- she was deemed useless as a weapon and sold off as a slave to a big candy company, as cheap production labor.

But after a few years of creating candy for her new "masters," and pretty much being incredibly bored the entire time, Kate discovered by chance that her powers weren't limited to just creating normal candy; she could also create candy with strange and unusual properties. Candy that exploded when thrown. Candy that could stun a person at a touch or hypnotize them at a glance. Drugged candies that functioned as sedatives, poisons, aphrodisiacs or mind control potions. In other words -- weaponized candy. With this new discovery, Kate decided that her days as a slave was done. She quite easily subdued her captors and masters, broke out and went off to set herself up as a "free agent."

You wouldn't think a girl with candy-based powers would stand a chance against the many superheroes and -villains out there, but Candykate is out to prove you wrong.



Personality-wise, Kate is a hedonist. She doesn't have any great ambitions, and to be honest she's a little lazy. Not for her the noble call of aiding people in need, nor does she have any dreams or ambitions of great power or world domination; she simply likes to indulge in life's pleasures as much as she can. She can seem comical and even harmless compared to the big-shot superhumans out there, but she is surprisingly ruthless and completely lacks scruples or morals. If she wants something, she'll do anything to get it, no matter who she has to use, exploit, seduce, corrupt, enslave or even kill.
