Do you find the Sigma easy to use? I just bought a Nikkor 105mm f2.8 macro and have yet to properly try it out.

Well, the Sigma is a bit slow on focus (like every macro lens) and the clutch mechanism of the AF/MF is just a joke. The VR in the Nikkor is said to be not so helpful in macro situations, and it's heavy and bulky compared to the Sigma. The Micro has also more than twice the price of the Sigma. I think there are better ways to spend $$$ than on the 105VR, a Tamron 90/Sigma 105 does the job as well, just as good.

Ah I didn't buy the VR. Reassuring to know that the laggy AF is usual though.

Cheers.

Great focus and depth on the ladybird. Is that a snowflake on its back?

Nice composition. You've positioned the ladybird well, and the backround complements it nicely.
The slant of the leaf works well to draw the eye in and the focus is perfect.
The water droplets on her back are a nice touch!

Perfect shot!
I love all the negative space!
The angle at which you took the shot is also really interesting, not the normal run of the mill angle.
The contrast and balance of colours is really spot on.
More I can't really say.
I had a look at the rest of your gallery, and you are really talented, and you have an eye for natural beauty.
