congratulations from a fellow vector artist, i love your art. to achieve that result with vectors. i also work a similar vector style without line.

i like to do shading and rendering. all with mouse and pen tool, it's the most comfortable for me (i use affinity designer) although i do another style of illustrations.

Hey hey fellow vector artist ^^ Sorry I'm getting back to you only now. I haven't really paid much attention to my messages here lately.

I've been using Inkscape since 2009 or so. Also bought Affinity Designer a while back but haven't tried it out yet😅 I'm a mouse user too and am so used to my workflow, that I can't see myself changing anything about it anytime soon (except for eventually giving AD a try, of course :D)

Hi. never tried inkscape, but it's wonderful what you can create with it. keep it up.

I can't stop using pen tool and mouse either, makes me feel safe.

thanks for your response.

You're a true Inkscape genius dude. Just ... wow! I'd like to learn how to do this type of stuff with Inkscape, but the best I can do right now is logos and some simple art without any "pro" shading or anything like that.

Do you have any advice on how I can learn to do this type of stuff? Any specific tutorials, resources or things like that? I mean, from my perspective, this is like ... impossible with Inkscape lol.

Haha.. thanks for the compliment! Regarding tutorials and stuff I'm afraid I can't help you much. I haven't really used many such resources and instead learned via the old trial&error method ^^; The manual and the mini tutorials in Inkscape's Help menu are a good place to start and get a grasp of all the basic tools. Beyond that? I guess just search for specific things you're interested in.

Good luck and have fun with Inkscape!

Thank you for the info! <3

No problem. If you face problems, the obvious place to check is the official forum at inkscape.org. There's an Inkscape group on Facebook as well, which I can recommend. Friendly and helpful crowd, so if you have a FB account, make sure to join this group : )
