There are things about adoptable character designs that are frustrating to a lot of people. The big one is that some of the more popular ones are inaccessible to people with low/no income, and it's understandable that it's frustrating. With this frustration has come a lot of venting and also some action from some folks on DA, such as the anti-closed-species movement or somesuch. It's okay to be frustrated and vent a bit but do consider if the way you're dealing with your feelings is hurting someone else somehow. Highly desirable art has always been expensive, and that's how it should be, as it is a luxury item, and, like it or not, that's how capitalism works (I'm not a huge fan of capitalism but that's the world many of us live in and I'm an artist so there you have it).
One particular element of this that has really hit home for me is when people complain about others not "using" their adoptable designs.
Firstly, the design was purchased by someone, and it is their business what they
