Thank You for the Birthday Wishes

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I appreciate them! I had to work today and it was an.... interesting day. Been raining for the past 48 hours so our office roof sprung a leak. Then one of the A/C units ate it's belt, causing it to freeze up like a block of ice. Ouch! So I called up the building landowner person to send techs to fix those things. Went to lunch and got shwarma (really yummy stuff) and came back to have to deal with contractors cause out building manager wants the office re-carpeted. And a wall put up. And a door moved. Turns out doors are not migratory. Well the rain let up right now. Is rain on your birthday a sign of luck?

Late Post-Hurricane Report

I keep forgetting I have a journal thing here. >.> Hurricane Matthew passed by the coast of my home state early Friday morning, and while it was a pretty eventful, we managed not to lose power or have anything significant damaged by the winds. Helped that I don't live by the coast. All is okay on my end, though the grass grew like crazy since then so we gotta get the lawnmower up and running. Still doing art, just the projects are taking longer than I expected because they're attached to a fanfic I'm writing that went from "simple idea" to "epic story" in a real quick fashion. Not done with chapter 2 and I'm sitting at 25,000 words so

Beware Ides of May?

Apparently I have a birthday coming up this Sunday. I'm past the age where I stop keeping track of my age, cause... yeah cakes these days don't have that kind of room. ;) I plan on buying a new SSD and a new game. I know, I only recently upgraded my computer (last December), but apparently I hoard a lot of stuff on my drive and video games these days are pretty big. Any of you out there old enough to remember Wolfenstein on floppy disks?
