I'm back, after nearly EIGHT
years of not being active here.
I last updated my journal here in 2012 after having what you might call a spiritual awakening. It was an intense period of self-development, growth, and evolution. I've continued growing since then, and once again, I'm a very different person that I used to be.
What hasn't changed is my sensitive soul and love of art. Though I lost the latter for a while. I've only recently started creating again after four years of being busy with college and then not doing so for the next three years after graduating because of mental illness and taking time to rest, relax, and heal.I struggle with anxiety, depression, insomnia, and past trauma.
I'm happy to say my mental health is now flourishing, and I'm drawing and writing again. I found love, and I share my life with an amazing, beautiful man named Coltt. He has changed my life, and I cannot thank him enough for his love, support, and patience. We've been together for nearly four years now, but we feel like we've been together forever. He's a professional photographer, among many other things, and we're hoping to get married as soon as we're able to. 🐻💕💍
I won't write too much about my new life now, because I'm not really sure if anyone will even see this. I've taken a look at the profiles of some of my old friends here, and I'm disappointed to see that so many are no longer active and haven't been for years now (not unlike me). That's okay, though. I'm ready to start sharing my art again and making new connections.
I have created art during the time I've been gone, but I'm only just now in the right place (physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually) to start creating again and being more active artistically. My passion is helping and healing others, but my art is still important to me. I'm reconnecting with that, and so far, I'm really enjoying that. It has been therapeutic, and I look forward to what I hope will be a productive future. 🎨
At the moment, I'm really into Digimon. I realized a couple of months ago that Bandai had released Digimon Links, a game for iOS and Android. So I started playing, and I found myself wanting to relive my childhood and catch up on what I've missed. I've stayed somewhat updated, but I'm still catching up on two of the three most recent anime series, which I've missed. Also playing a few of the games I've missed, as well as games I never full finished.
I introduced my boyfriend to Digimon, and he loves it! Botamon is his favorite. We've watched the first season of Adventure, and we're now watching the second. Meanwhile, I've been watching Savers by myself. I already finished Fusion. Appmon will be next.
With that being said, expect some fanmade Digimon art in the near future! It's been years since I was active here, so I'll be hiding old comments, editing old deviations, and deleting old journal entries. To be honest, it's embarrassing. I was so young then, and it's not a positive or accurate representation of the person I am today. So if you see anything before 2012, I apologize. 😂
I'm excited about being back here, and I plan on finally sharing my art again soon. Stay tuned!
Sending all my love. ❤️
