Welcome to Digital-Art-Draw

Digital-Art-Draw is a place where members can submit their digital art work, and where other members can admire it. On top of that, we also accept many different types of digital art, including:

:bulletyellow: Fanart - Any piece of art of, or based around something that you're a fan of; characters, movies, singers, actors, etc.

:bulletpink: OCs - Drawings of your original characters.

:bulletpurple: W.I.P Drawings - Your work in progress.

:bulletred: Anime - Anime and manga style artwork.

:bulletorange: Abstract - Random colors and splotches, designs, and creations that don't quite fit other descriptions. "Abstract art seeks to break away from traditional representation of physical objects. It explores the relationships of forms and colors, whereas more traditional art represents the world in recognizable images." ~

:bulletgreen: Fantasy -Artwork based on myths and legends or unreal creatures and monsters.

:bulletblue: Photoshop - Artwork made on Photoshop.

:bulletblack: Gimp - Artwork made on Gimp.

:bulletblue: MS Paint - Artwork made on MS Paint.

:bulletgreen: Wolves, Dogs, Foxes - Canine, basically.

:bulletyellow: Cats, Lions, Tigers - Felines of all kinds.

:bulletorange: Sugar Gliders, Squirrels, Small Animals - This category explains itself.

:bulletred: Other Animals - Animals that don't quite fit the other categories.

:bulletpurple: Creatures - Monsters and beasts.

:bulletpink: Vent - Artwork that expresses true feelings.

:bulletpurple: Contest Entries - Artwork for contests.

:bulletred: Sketches - Sketches and doodles.

:bulletorange: Scraps - Work that didn't quite make the grade.

:bulletyellow: Practice - Nothing perfect, just practice.

:bulletgreen: Landscapes and BGs - Landscapes and backgrounds, that's it.

:bulletblue: Logos - Company or school logos- or your own!

:bulletblack: Adopts - Adoptables.

:bulletblue: Comics - Comic pages.

:bulletpink: Only DIGITAL art is allowed! This may seem like a big "DUH," but believe it or not, we've had quite a few traditional art submissions. If you want to submit traditional art, we have a group similar to this one called Traditional-Art-Draw.

:bulletpurple: Please submit your work to its proper folder. Every piece has a category, and its your job as a member to to find that category. Don't be lazy!! (If you have accidentally submitted a piece to the wrong folder, please read here and remove the piece: FAQ #407: How do I remove my deviations from a group?) If you some reason your art does not fit into of the categories listed above, please note one of our team members for help. Don't just choose the next best category. Who knows? You might end up helping us create a new folder!

:bulletred: Comment on the group's page and notify us when a folder is full. Unless you tell us, we won't know, and just because a folder is full does NOT mean that you are able to submit your piece to another, inappropriate folder.

:bulletorange: No advertising! Everyone wants points or cash, but here is not the right place for announcing it. That's what the forums are for.

:bulletyellow: Be polite to the founder, co-founder, and contributors. They work hard. If you want to address an issue, do so in a friendly manner.

:bulletgreen: Even if you chose not to watch this group, you MUST chose to watch Journals, Polls & Status Updates. These things are important.

Firstly, I'd like to say that I am very happy to see how this group has progressed over the years, with and without me. My co-founders and contributes have been really great for cleaning things up and taking care of members' needs. I'd like to thank and welcome these fine people as our contributors.

I'd also like to thank our co-founder, MemorialComics for actively taking care of the group while I've been gone.
And of course I can't forget these guys, who have been working with this group for a while.

Thanks, guys!

Now, about a few changes...

I have spent some time rearranging our folders and adding new ones. Along the way I say a few folders that I felt had no place in the gallery, so I went ahead and deleted them. Those folders were the following:

:bulletred: Featured 3
:bulletred: Featured II
:bulletred: Featured 3
:bulletred: Digital 2
:bulletred: Devious Folder

I did not delete them without reason, and if you look carefully at the other gallery folders, there are better, more specific folders to put your art into. What I kept in mind while I was rearranging was the fact that when I go into a group's gallery, I usually go into a specific category's folder because I am looking for specific types of pictures. The above folders would probably be ignored, at least by me.

What I'd like to see...

I, and I'm sure I can say the same for my co-founder and contributors, do not want to see any "lazy submissions". When I see hundreds of submissions, and I do me hundreds, submitted into the "Featured" folder, I feel like the artists just sort of threw their art into the first selected folder. If you are going to submit something, please find a good home for it. PLEASE. Currently, I am trying to remove ALL submissions from the featured folder. It's gonna take some time (and I'd appreciate some help).

So, I might need some more contributors...

Interested? Here's what I'm looking for:

:bulletblack: Active people. At check group page at least once a week.
:bulletblack: Helpful people. Be willing to help out with even the tedious jobs.
:bulletblack: Polite people. Be kind to members and willing to help them out when they are having issues with folders or submissions.
:bulletblack: Be able to follow my directions.
:bulletblack: If the above describes you, send me a note titled "Contributor for Digital-Art-Draw". Thanks!

I think that just about covers it. Thank you for all of your submissions and hard works!
