I'm a sprite artist. My main artworks are Fire Emblem-style avatars and portraits of characters from different video games. I basically use old Fire Emblem art and heavily edit them to closely resemble their original artworks or rendering. Also to Vampire Elf, Merc and other people from the FEPlanet Community and other spriting communities, whose sprites I have used as parts and rips edited for my own works.
My primary purposes for doing these portraits are: 1. To no longer be limited in a game's face slider when trying to imagine how a character would look like. 2. To be able to add a bit more depth as much as I can with my own interpretation of the characters. 3. To be able to visualize those characters that have been portrayed poorly or have not been portrayed at all. 4. Easy useable portraits and avatars for use in message boards and the like.
These tiny pixels are basically my medium, my paintbrush, my canvas, etc. These works are the easiest way for me to express an image that I try to convey.
Please go ahead and use my work for your own. Edit them if you wish, just make sure to put credit where it is due. Of course, original credits go to their respective sources and games.
Tales of the Otori Series, Lord of the Rings Series
Got hooked on a book series that I've been reading; the Riyria Revelations by Michael J. Sullivan. Gonna try my hand at making a few mugs of the characters in the setting.
Primarily, I fell in love with the series and the main characters because of how there are these two enigmas, probably the best at what they do and their talents, who just 'live' in their world. They don't question how weird the politics or their church gets, how there are certain overarching anomalies or 'weird' stuff happening in their land, nor do they go about, acting like 'farmboy heroes' or 'chosen ones', instead they just live, trying to earn a hard penny, swindling
