You feel yourself surrounded by a crowd of mute figures, which seem as if they would fain whisper to you the secrets of the ages (J.A. Mannculloch on the Quaraing The Misty Isle of Skye, 1905). North of the Bealach Ollasgairte at the high point on the road between Uig and Staffin, beneath the cliffs of Meall na Suiramach, stands a ghostly labyrinth of rockly outcrops and spires know as the Quiraing. People have been visiting this haunting cliffs for over 100years, often thrilled or terrified depending on the weather at the time. With the wind rushing around the rocks, it can be a terrifying place to explore.
I'm off to Skye with Pastyguy hopefully in July, really excited. We are camping about the place. I dont suppose you have any tips of where to visit past the obvious storr elgol, fairy pools cullins etc.?
I find the top half of the image really very appealing but I find the bottom half rather disorganised and its not really bringing anything to the shot for me.
