This is an old Gaga artwork. I made it in February for the "ARTPOP LYRIC VIDEO" created by the amazing artist Gabriel Marques (watch it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBUxk7….
It was inspired by the verse "A hybrid can withstand these things, my heart can beat with bricks and strings, my ARTPOP could mean anything". Due to ARTPOP is based on art references, specially about Jeff Koons and Botticelli's Venus, I decided to make a hybrid between a seashell bikini-Venus, a mermaid and Koons' Gazing Ball.
