Your brontotheres looks really weird with that narina in the top of the facial ornamment, do you base that reconstruction in any recent invstigation??
It's an old idea, but new investigations makes it possible ("ram" is a part of nasale bones).

What would be the advantage of having nostrils that high?
It's an old idea, described by K. Flerov, also by other Russian specialists, but I've seen such reconstruction also in Internet site of AMNH.

I know that, but it doesn't really answer the question. What would be the purpose of having the nostrils in that position?

I think it's possibly that the nostrils were like that to create a resonating chamber.
