Deinotherium "gigantissimum" - based on skeleton from Early Pliocene of Moldova. May be an old male of D. giganteum.

I wonder why they have to call that as Deinotherium Gigantissimum instead of Deinotherium Giganteum.Both of them seem to be same.

Brilliant - I love the wrinkles, how did you do that? Did you draw in coloured pencils and then etch into the paper?

It's colored pencils, also sratches in paper by old (non-working) ball-pen. And Photoshop with GIMP.

Super giant. Species was named by S. Stefanescu in 1892. Animal can be about 4,5 m high. May be the same as D. proavum, named by Eichwald in 1835.

Yes, lower jaw was relatively narrow.
