Hi, a few weeks ago I had to draw a steampunk clock for my school project and found this one on Google and drew an observational drawing of it. I hope you don't mind me posting my drawing of this on my account, if you do then just say so (:

Also, this is absolutely beautiful, I really didn't realise that it was made out of cardboard until now, it really is great. ♥

Truly amazing what you can create with just some cardboard and scraps. Beautiful use of space and texture and color tones. I love this idea. I've just spent 2 1/2 days creating a steampunk cycloptic surveylance drone from very tiny bits and pieces of electronics and plastic housing and other scraps. Then I meticulously painted small designs into the shapes. Hours later I finally finished. Sometimes you just need to klnow when to walk away.

May I ask if and how you create these from cardboard? Do the edges still appear corrugated or do you do something to it to remove that?

It is not corrugated cardboard, is a piece of cardboard in layers, trimmed and painted:)

Oh, I see! How many layers of card were required, and how sturdy would you say the finished product is?

Three or four layers, sometimes I have to caulk the joints, before painting.
