Chapter 25 The Auction RoomSatu decided to lead Katie to a large well lit chamber that is the auction room. The best slaves were offered to the queen and Zeba would most likely be stored in there. Katie followed her in and saw the bodies off all kinds of creatures hanging from the walls and ceiling. The ropes went around their torsos, arms and legs. Among them Katie could pick out the bodies of centaurs. They were all breathing slowly but unconscious. She carefully but quickly examined each one, being careful to save some anti-venom for Zeba when she finds her. In the middle of the collection of bodies, she saw the familiar colors and markings of Zeba.
“I finally found you!” said Katie as she hugged her suspended body. Feeling both happy and sad at seeing her in that state. Hopefully she can collect enough antibodies to free the others later, she thought.

Chapter 24 The Light-Traps“Follow me closely to stay a safe distance from the light-traps.” hissed Satu.
The groups followed behind Satu single file.

Chapter 23 UndergroundIt was night again when Katie woke up finding herself covered in a blanket. Looking around she could see Satu and Baku were gone, replaced by a folded blanket for a pillow. Now that she was awake she could no longer go to sleep. Katie got up and grabbed her backpack. She proceeded to walk to the nearest camp fire. There spidog greeted her and handed her things to eat.
Spidog tells her the herd needs time to recover as Baku and Satu join them.
“What are we going to do now?” asked the tiger-swan.
“How much damage did we do to the gowels?” asked Katie
“We destroyed a farm, released some slaves, and blocked the entrance but this a part of something bigger. This is merely an inconvenience to the gowels of this section.” said Satu
“How much bigger is the whole thing?” asked Baku
“There are many entrances. Many tunnels were dug to expand and capture settlements for slaves. It’s a day’s travel to the next entrance.” hissed
