Q1). How many deviations am I allowed to submit?
A1). Submissions are limited to 7 per week per folder. They are no longer auto-accepted.
Q2). What kinds of pictures are accepted/rejected?
A2). You must be the author of the work you submit. If your work combines different resources, you must be the author of each of them (no use of stock, licensed or non-proprietary images is allowed). If you are a model, though, you're allowed to submit photos which portray you, as long as you're given permission by the author. Submitting somebody else's work without permission will cause a permanent ban.
Photos with poor technical quality, with no other aspects to compensate for it, will be removed. Grain, blur, cut arms and legs, tilts and other imperfections can sometimes enhance a photo, but there should always be a point in using a certain effect.
Photos with too big of a watermark will be removed (this includes the deviantART watermark).
Common themes — such as sunsets, butterflies, roses, lonely trees, pets, tourist attractions, etc. — need to be artistic.
Photos of sculptures, paintings, posters or other artwork will be rejected unless given a deeper meaning, since the photographer is not the original artist.
Product shots, logos and other shots with a typical commercial style will be rejected because they are not considered artistic here.
Photographs with mature content must have the mature filter or they will not be accepted.
Pornographic material or very repulsive photos are strictly prohibited, submitting such photos will result in a permanent ban.
No cosplay and no photo manipulations.
Q3). How can I be of help, other than submitting my work?
A3). We're constantly looking for great pictures and talented artists to show off. So, feel free to invite new members and suggest us any work or person you believe is worth being featured.
Your commenting on the blog entries is greatly appreciated. You're also welcome to report us any information or news that might be of interest for the members of the group.
Q4). I have a question not covered by this FAQ. How can I get support?
A4). Send a message to the group and your question will be answered at our earliest convenience.
Q5). What are the behavior expectations of the group?
A5). We encourage constructive criticism and questions as long as they are posed in a respectful manner. We employ a zero-tolerance approach to negative, attacking personalities. If you can't behave as a respectful individual, this is not the group for you. If you behave rudely, you will not be warned; you will be removed from the group.
